INTRODUCTION
The purpose of this document is to give step-by-step instructions for setting up dial-up networking for
your computer in order to perform packet-switched data testing with the Nemo tool Nemo Outdoor.
Furthermore, some of the test mobiles need to be configured before data testing is performed. The
configuration instructions are provided in this document.
The usage of Nemo Outdoor is not explained in this document. The Nemo Outdoor User Manual
included in the shipment gives detailed information on the Nemo Outdoor software and its usage.
Please note that the devices below have been removed from the current document. Dial -up
instructions for these devices can be found in the Dial -up Networking Setup Guide version 7.10.

DEVICE AUTODETECTION
From Nemo Outdoor 5.60 onwards, it is possible to use autodetection to add devices to Nemo
Outdoor. It is no longer necessary to manually install and configure a dial-up connection. Once a
device is connected to a computer and the device driver is installed, it can be added fully automatically
to Nemo Outdoor application using Autodetect Devices button. Nemo Outdoor will automatically
detect the device trace and modem ports and assign a suitable dial-up connection.

Autodetection works with all Nemo Outdoor test terminals verified by Anite Finland. In some cases it is
possible that the terminal is not recognized and the autodetection does not work. If this happens,
manually select the correct trace and modem ports. Then select Automatic in the Packet switched
dial-up connection field and click Appl y. If the automatic dial-up connection detection does not work,
please see instructions below.
MANUAL CONFIGURATION OF A DIAL-UP CONNECTION
(XP)
1. Select Start | Settings | Control Panel. Click on Network Connections. Select File | New
Connection to start the New Connection Wizard. Click Next on the Welcome page.
2. Select Connect to the network at my workplace and click Next.

3. Select Dial-up connection as your Network Connection. Click Next.

4. Select the terminal from the list and click Next.
With Leadcore terminals, select the unnumbered Leadcore Technology DTM8100 Modem item,
and click Next.
With Nokia terminals, sel ect the item with the highest number and cli ck Next.
With Nokia 7376 terminal , select the unnumbered Nokia USB Modem item and click Next.
5. Type a connection name, for example, Huawei, in the Company Name field. Click Next.

6. In the Telephone Number field, enter *99# (#777 for CDMA mobiles). Click Next.

Select Start | Control Panel | Network and Internet. Select Network and Sharing Center | Set up a 1.

In the Telephone Number field, enter *99# (#777 for CDMA terminals). In the Connection name 3.
field type, for example, Nokia Dial-up connection. Select Allow other people to use this
connection. Click Connect.

Click on Skip in the Connecting to xxx dial-up connection dialog. 4.

Click Close. 5.

Go to Control Panel | Network and Internet | Network and Sharing Center, and select Connect to a 6.
network. Right-click on the Terminal Dial-up Connection, and select Properties.
In the Networking tab, deselect the Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6) item and select 7.

Go to Device Manager (Start | Settings | Control Panel | System and Security | Device 8.

Select the Advanced tab, and type in atz in the Extra initialization commands field, and click on 9.

APPLE IPHONE 5
Apple iPhone 5 can be connected with Nemo Outdoor using the application tester handler.
Install iTunes on your computer. iTunes can be downloaded from 1.
http://www.apple.com/itunes/download. Start iTunes.
On the iPhone 5 device, select Settings | Personal Hotspot and turn on the Personal Hotspot. 2.

Connect the USB connectivity cable to your PC. Device drivers are installed automatically. 3.
Go to Nemo Outdoor and select Measurement | Add New Device | Phone | Application Tester. 4.
Leave the Trace Port and Modem Port fields empty. 5.
Select <LAN> as the Packet switched dial-up connection. Click OK. 6.
Activate a packet session manuall y before running scripts.
Note that when testing with iPhone 5, all other connections (WLAN, Ethernet cable, etc.) need to
be disconnected.

Plug in the USB device in one of your PCs USB ports. The drivers are automatically installed, and 1.
Windows automatically detects the device.
Select English in the Choose Setup Language dialog. 2.

Click on Next in the Welcome dialog that appears. 3.

Select I accept the terms i n the license agreement in the License Agreement dialog, and click 4.
Next.

Select a destination folder and click Next. 5.

Click Install to start the installation. 6.

Click Finish to finish the installation. 7.

Close the BandLuxe software that appears, as it will not be required in the following steps. 8.
Go to Start | Control Panel | System | Hardware | Device Manager. Under Modems you should be 9.
able to see the BandLuxe 3.5G Modem, under Network adapters you should see the BandLuxe
3.5G Ethernet Adapter, and under Ports the BandLuxe Adapter Control Interface (COMxx) and
BandLuxe AT CMD Interface (COMxx) items.

In Nemo Outdoor Device Configuration dialog, select the COM port number assigned to the 10.
BandLuxe Adapter Control Interface item in the Trace Port field. Select the COM port number
assigned to the BandLuxe 3.5G Modem item (right-click the item and select Properties) in the
Modem Port field.

Please note that currentl y the driver can be installed on 32-bit Windows only.
Install the device drivers. The file is located on the Nemo Outdoor USB flash drive. Browse the
file manuall y and double-click the 610_b038_multil anguage file. The package will self-extract.
The Blackberry Desktop Software application is launched. Select the installation language and click 1.
OK.

If the installer requests to install the Microsoft Visual C++2008 Redistributable file, click Install . 2.

Click Next to begin the Blackberry Desktop SW installation. 3.

Select your country or region and click Next. 4.

Accept the license agreement and click Next. 5.

Select the installation folder and click Next and Install . 6.

Wait until the installation is complete and click Finish. 7.
Close the Blackberry software that appears, as it will not be required in the following steps. 8.

Go to Device Manager. Under Modems you should see the Standard Modem item and under Ports 9.

Connect the device USB cable to the device and to the Nemo Outdoor laptop. Select USB Drive 10.
from the device screen.
Start Nemo Outdoor. Autodetection does not work with the Blackberry device so add the device 11.
manually (Add New Device | Phone | Qual comm).
In the Device Configuration dialog, select the COM port with the bigger number assigned to the 12.
RIM Virtual Serial Port v2 item in the Trace Port field. Select the COM port with the smaller
number in the Modem Port field. Select Automati c in the dial-up connection field.

Installing the connecti vity cable driver:
Do not connect the connectivity cable to your PC until the driver installation is complete.
1. The connectivity cable driver is located on the Nemo Outdoor USB flash drive. Browse the file
manually and double-click the USB2VCOM_driver_x.xx.xx file (x is the latest driver version).
2. Select Uninstall old version first if installed, and click Install in the Leadcore Technology DTM8100
Series Driver Installer dialog.
3. In the VCOM Number field you need to select 3 ports for each test terminal. Since the driver is
installed only once, select the number of COM ports according to how many Leadcore terminals
you intend to use with Nemo Outdoor. Hence, if you want to connect two Leadcore terminals with
Nemo Outdoor, select at least 6 in the VCOM Number field. Click Exit when the installation is
done.

4. After the driver installation is finished, Windows may restart your computer but it is not required.
5. After your computer has restarted, connect the connectivity cable to the mobile and the other end
to the computers USB port. Windows will detect the new hardware automatically and start the
installation. The step is repeated several times until all new hardware is added.
6. In the Welcome page, select No, not this time and click Next.

7. Select Install the software automatically (Recommended) and click Next.

8. Click Yes or Continue Anyway in the Digital Signature Not Found or Hardware Installation
dialog if it appears. You may need to repeat steps 6, 7 and 8 several times until the installation
process is finished.
9. After installation, go to Device Manager. Select Start | Settings | Control Panel | System, open
the Hardware tab and click the Device Manager button.
10. You should be able to see three Datang Mobile modems under Modems, and three Datang Mobile
items under Ports.

11. Start Nemo Outdoor. Select View | Windows Device Manager. From the Device Manager you will
find the COM port numbers needed in the next steps.
12. Select Measurement | Add New Device. In the New Device dialog, click Phones and select the
terminal. Click Next.
13. In the Device Manager click on Ports. Select the COM port number assigned to the Leadcore
Technology DTM8100 Modem #2 item In the Trace Port field in the Device Configuration dialog.
Select the COM port number assigned to the Leadcore Technology DTM8100 Modem #3 item in
the Modem Port field.
14. In the Device Configuration dialog, select <Automatic> or the previously made dial-up
connection as the Packet switched dial-up connection (see page 6). Click Appl y.
15. If the device connecting fails, check that you have selected the correct COM ports and try again.

Connect the device to the laptop. Select Charge onl y on the phone. 1.
Go to Device Manager. Under Other devices you should see the HTC DIAG, HTC Modem, and 2.
RmNet items.

Right-click on the HTC DIAG item and select Update Driver Software. 3.

In the Update Driver SW HTC DIAG dialog, select Browse my computer 4.

correct subfolder based on your operating system, e.g. \Win7_x86. Click OK.

If the Windows Security dialog appears, click Install this driver anyway. The driver will be 10.
installed. Click Close after the installation is finished.
The HTC DIAG item has disappeared and a new item HTC Diagnostic Interface appears under 11.
Ports.

Now repeat the driver software update process for the HTC Modem and RmNet items. Ignore all 12.
Windows warnings. The steps are otherwise the same but the driver files are located in different
folders:
HTC Modem: HTC_ONE_XL_Waikiki USB_drivers_20110310_unsigned\Modem
RmNet: HTC_ONE_XL_Waikiki USB_drivers_20110310_unsigned\QMI
After you have updated all drivers, go to Device Manager. You should see the following items: 13.
Modems: HTC USB Modem
Network adapters: HTC Ethernet Adapter
Ports: HTC Diagnostic Interface

Start Nemo Outdoor. Select Measurement | Add New Device. In the New Device dialog, click 14.
Phones and select the Qualcomm item. Click Next.
In the Nemo Outdoor Device Configuration dialog, define the following settings: 15.
Trace port: Select the COM port number assigned to the HTC Diagnostic Interface.
Modem port: Select the COM port number assigned to HTC USB Modem
Packet-switched dial-up connection: NDIS
Click Appl y. 16.
If the device connecting fails, check that you have selected the correct COM ports and try again. 17.

Please note that with some Huawei E392U-12 devices the Huawei Mobile Connect 3G Modem
item does not appear. If this happens, please follow the instructions in chapter Huawei E392u-12.

item does not appear. If this happens, please follow the instructions below.

CHANGING TCP/IP PROPERTIES
Appli es to al l 3G and 4G Huawei USB modems with Nemo Outdoor 6.30 and older versions.
Before measurements can be done with Nemo Outdoor, the Internet protocol properti es must
be manuall y changed to automatic mode. This must be done always after the modem is
disconnected/reconnected and also if the device stops responding during measurements.
Windows XP:
Plug in the Huawei device. 1.
Go to Start | Control Panel | Network Connections, and right-click on Huawei Broadband 2.
Connection, and select Properties.
In the Mobile Broadband Connection Properties dialog, select Internet Protocol Version 4 3.
(TCP/IPv4) and click on Properties.
Select Obtain an IP address automatically and Obtain DNS server address automatically. 4.
Windows 7:
Go to Start | Control Panel | Network and Internet | Network and Sharing Center. 2.
Click on Change adapter settings. 3.
Right-click on Mobile Broadband Connection and select Properties. 4.


Select Obtain an IP address automatically and Obtain DNS server address automatically. Click OK 6.

1. Connect the device to your computers USB port. Windows will detect the new hardware
automatically and start the installation. Click Run AutoRun.exe and follow the instructions on the
screen.

2. When the installation is finished, Windows XP users are advised to reboot the computer.
3. The Telenor Mobile Partner software starts up. Please note that outlook of the Mobile Partner
software varies depending on operator etc. Close the program.

5. You should see the Huawei Mobile Connect 3G Application Interface item and the Huawei Mobile
Connect Application Interface items under Ports.

6. Install the Hisi UE Agent to default installation folder. The file is located on the Nemo Outdoor USB
flash drive. Browse to folder \Nemo Outdoor 7.x\Drivers\HiSilicon\ Hisi UE Agent B211 and run
the Hi si UE Agent Balong V700R001C50B211.exe file. NOTE! After the installation is finished,
Hua.exe file must be located under folder C:\Hisi UE Agent\bin\hua.exe.
7. Install Huut- Huawei UE Update Tool 1.3 (Nemo Outdoor 7.x\Drivers\HiSilicon\Huut-V1.3.) This is
necessary if no diagnostics have been activated yet in UE. Activation can only be performed by
Huawei.
8. Start Huut- Huawei Update Tool and generate the file. Send the file to Huawei.
9. Update file (key) provided by Huawei with Huut- Update tool. Update file is generated based on
IMEI of UE.
10. Add the device to Nemo Outdoor by using autodetection. Start Nemo Outdoor. Select View |
Windows Device Manager. From the Device Manager you will find the COM port numbers needed
in the next steps.
11. The device can also be added manually. Select Measurement | Add New Device. In the New
Device dialog, click Phones and select the Hi Silicon item. Click Next.
12. In the Device Manager click on Ports. Select the COM port number assigned to the Huawei
Configuration dialog. Select the COM port number assigned to the Huawei Mobile Connect
Appli cation Interface item in the Modem Port field.
13. In the Device Configuration dialog, select <NDIS>as the Packet switched dial-up connection. Click
Apply.

1. The data cable driver is located on the Nemo Outdoor USB flash drive. Browse to folder
D:\Drivers\Drivers for Qualcomm Based Devices\Huawei C7600 and run the driver .exe file.
2. Click Install in the DriverInstall Setup: Installation Options dialog.

3. Click Close in the DriverInstall Setup: Completed dialog.

4. After the installation has finished, connect the USB connectivity cable to your phone, and the other
end of the cable to your computers USB port. Windows will detect the new hardware automatically
and start the installation.

1. First the Connection Manager is installed. The installation file is located on the Nemo Outdoor USB
flash drive. Browse the file and double-click the LTE7210_xxxx_EngineeringRelease.exe file (xxxx
refers to the version number).
2. First select the Installer language and click OK.

3. Click Next in the Welcome dialog. Click I Agree in the License Agreement dialog.
4. Choose the destination folder and click Next.

5. If at some point you see the Select Components dialog, select Full Instal lation and click Next.

6. Define the Start Menu Folder and click Install.

7. At some point during the Connection Manager installation, the Device Driver Installation Wizard
starts up automatically. Click Next in the Welcome dialog.

11. The Connection Manager will launch automatically but it is important that it is closed before
adding the device to Nemo Outdoor. It is recommended that you rename the .exe file that
launches the Connection Manager to prevent the CM from starting. Browse to C:\Program Files
\NSN LTE Connection Manager (or for 64-bit Windows C:\Program Files (x86)\NSN LTE
Connection Manager) and rename the nsnltecm.exe to nsnltecm.exe_.
12. To avoid performance issues with the modem, the Altair LogCreator standalone functionality needs
to be disabled. Browse to folder C:\Program Files\NSN LTE Connection Manager\Tools\
Internals\LogCreator and open file RunLogCreator.bat with Notepad. Modify the following string:

If the terminal has been used with Nemo Handy, the device needs to restarted or powered off/on
before connecting it with Nemo Outdoor.
When the UE i s used with Nemo Outdoor, other terminals cannot be used si multaneousl y in
data testing if the NDIS interface is used to activate PS data connection. For exampl e,
simultaneous data testing with Huawei LTE modem and Samsung Gal axy S III handset is not
possible. It should be noted that the issue does not limit using multiple Galaxy S III terminal s
for simultaneous data testing or together with non-NDIS terminal s, such as, Nokia test
terminal s.
To be able to make voice calls the Trace interface 2 call method must be selected in Nemo
Outdoor (Devices view - Voice cal l method - Trace interface 2).

Automatic answering to i ncoming call s can be done onl y when a headset is connected to the
terminal. Use the original headset included in the sales package. Connect the headset to the
phone and from the phone menu select: Settings -> Call Answering/ Ending-> Press arrow <
on the left upper corner to go back to previous menu. Sel ect Settings -> Accessibility -> Cal l
Settings -> Accessory Settings For Call -> Automatic Answering. Automatic answering will
operate onl y with the headset connected.
Auto detection should not be used to add the device. Add the device manual l y.

If data testing is done manuall y without script files, recording must be started before data
protocols can be accessed via Nemo Outdoor. Without recording, the data protocol options in
the UI are not availabl e.

always online. This means that attach/detach and PDP context activation/deactivation
commands cannot be used via Nemo Outdoor. It is recommended that the access point name
(APN) is defined for the phone manuall y. Otherwise the phone can choose an incorrect APN
automaticall y and this may cause the packet sessi on to fail.
Insert the Nemo Outdoor installation DVD and browse to the driver folder (e.g. Nemo 1.
Outdoor\Nemo Outdoor xxx\Drivers\Qualcomm\Samsung\Samsung Galaxy S III). Double-click the
Kies_x.x.x.exe to start the installation.
Select the installation language. 2.

If the Samsung Kies software starts, close the program. If the program suggests a driver update, 4.

On the InstallShield Wizard welcome page click Next. 2.

5. You should see the Huawei Mobile Connect 3G Application Interface item and the Huawei Mobile
Connect Application Interface items under Ports.

6. Install the Hisi UE Agent to default installation folder. The file is located on the Nemo Outdoor USB
flash drive. Browse to folder \Nemo Outdoor 7.x\Drivers\HiSilicon\ Hisi UE Agent B211 and run
the Hi si UE Agent Balong V700R001C50B211.exe file. NOTE! After the installation is finished,
Hua.exe file must be located under folder C:\Hisi UE Agent\bin\hua.exe.
7. Install Huut- Huawei UE Update Tool 1.3 (Nemo Outdoor 7.x\Drivers\HiSilicon\Huut-V1.3.) This is
necessary if no diagnostics have been activated yet in UE. Activation can only be performed by
Huawei.
8. Start Huut- Huawei Update Tool and generate the file. Send the file to Huawei.
9. Update file (key) provided by Huawei with Huut- Update tool. Update file is generated based on
IMEI of UE.
10. Add the device to Nemo Outdoor by using autodetection. Start Nemo Outdoor. Select View |
Windows Device Manager. From the Device Manager you will find the COM port numbers needed
in the next steps.
11. The device can be added manually. Select Measurement | Add New Device. In the New Device
dialog, click Phones and select the HiSil icon item. Click Next.
Configuration dialog. Select the COM port number assigned to the Huawei Mobile Connect
Appli cation Interface item in the Modem Port field.

wizard. If the Windows Security dialog appears, click Run.
3. After the device driver installation is finished, connect the terminal to the computer with a USB
cable. Windows will automatically detect the new hardware and install drivers. Wait until the
installation process is finished.
4. After installation, go to Device Manager. You should see the LGE Android Pl atform USB Modem
item under Modems and LGE Android Platform USB Serial Port item under Ports.

6. Select the port assigned to LGE Android Platform USB Serial Port in the Trace Port field in the
Device Configuration dialog. Select the port assigned to LGE Android Pl atform USB Modem in
the Modem Port field.
7. In the Device Configuration dialog, select <Automatic> as the Packet switched dial-up
connection (see page 6). Click Appl y.

1. Plug in the USB data card. The data card automatically starts the 3G Watcher driver installation.
Siptune SM215 comes with its own driver installation software on a separate USB stick. Follow the
instructions below.
2. Click OK in the Welcome dialog that appears.

3. Click Next in the Telstra Turbo Connection Manager Welcome window. Note that the name of
the installation wizard may vary depending on the operator in question.

4. Select I accept the terms i n the license agreement in the License Agreement dialog, and click
Next.

5. Click on Finish in the InstallShield Wizard Completed window.
6. Windows automatically detects the device.
7. The driver files are installed.
8. Open the Telstra Turbo Connection Manager main view. Note that the name of the Connection
Manager may vary, for example, depending on the operator the device comes equipped with. For
example, Sierra Wireless Watcher comes with Sierra 306.

9. Select Tools | Options. In the User Options window, select
No in the Autolaunch on device insertion or power-up
Do nothing for the On exit field or No in Turn radio off on exit
Never for Check for updates

10. When these options are selected, you can close the Telstra Turbo Connection Manager/Watcher
application, and the device will work in Nemo Outdoor. However, if these options are not selected,
the Telstra Turbo Connection Manager/Watcher application needs to run in the background while
conducting measurements with the Sierra device in Nemo Outdoor.
Note that the options may vary depending on the device. For exampl e, with Sierra 306, the
Tools button is a spanner icon, and instead of On exit field there is Enabl e ai rplane mode on
exit which needs to be set to No. In addition, the modem name may change depending on the
device, for exampl e, to Si erra Wirel ess HSPA modem.

11. When the installation is complete, check from the Device Manager that the installation was
successful. Go to Start | Control Panel | System and Security | System | Device Manager.
Under Modems you should see a Sierra Wireless AirCard HSDPA Modem item and under Ports
pay attention to the Sierra Wireless AT Command Port (UMTS) (COMxx) and Sierra Wireless DM
Port (UMTS) (COMxx) items. Under Network Adapters you should see the Sierra Wireless HSPA
Network Adapter item. Leave the Device Manager open as you will find there the COM port

12. In the Device Manager click on Ports. Select the COM port number assigned to the Sierra
Wireless DM Port item in the Trace Port field in the Device Configuration dialog. Click on
Modems. Select the COM port number assigned to the Si erra Wireless AT Command Port item
in the Modem Port field.

1. Insert the USB data card in a free USB slot on your PC.
2. The Sprint SmartView installation setup starts automatically. Double-click on the setup.exe file, and
click Setup.

3. Click Next in the Wel come window that appears.
4. In the License Agreement window, select I accept the terms in the li cense agreement, and click
Next.
5. Click Next in the Destination folder dialog.

6. Click Install.
7. After the installation is completed, the software will ask you to restart your computer. Click Yes.
8. Go to Start | Control Panel | System | Hardware | Device Manager. Double-click on Modems to
expand it. You should see the Sierra Wi reless Compass 597 EVDO Modem item. You should
also see the Sierra Wireless Compass 597 DM Port (COMxx) item under Ports. Leave the Device
Manager open as you will find there the COM port numbers needed in the next steps.

10. In the Device Manager click on Ports. Select the COM port number assigned to the Sierra
Wireless Compass 597 DM Port item in the Trace Port field in the Device Configuration dialog.

NOVATEL OVATION

1. Prior to plugging the USB modem in your computer, please refer to the Novatel quick start guide
included in the product package for computer system requirements.
2. Insert the (U)SIM card supplied by your service provider in the terminal. Please refer to the quick
start guide for more detailed instructions as to how to do this.
3. Insert the Novatel Ovation USB modem into your PC USB port.
4. Windows will automatically install the device driver and detect the new device. In addition, it
automatically installs MobiLink Lite which is the device software. Ignore this software, and close it.
It should not be on when adding the device to Nemo Outdoor.
5. Next, go to Start | Control Panel | Phone and Modem Options | Modems on your PC. The list
should display Novatel Wireless Modem item and the associated COM port number, in this case
COM26.

located (e.g., C:\Pantech UM175). Click Next.

7. Next go to Device Manager. Under Modems you should see the PANTECH UM175 item, and
under Ports the PANTECH UM175 Diagnostic Port item.

If you do not see the items mentioned above and instead there are three unknown devices
under Others, the driver i nstallation has failed. Right-click each unknown item, sel ect Update
Driver Software, and browse to the folder where you unzipped the driver fil es. After the update,
the Pantech items should appear in the Device Manager.
8. Next, set up the dial-up connection manually. Follow instructions on page 7 (for XP) or 10 (for Win
7) then continue from step 9.
9. In the Pantech UM175 Modem Properties dialog, Security page, select No encryption allowed in
the Data encryption field. Click OK to close the dialog.

11. In the Nemo Outdoor Device Configuration dialog, define the following settings (check the port
numbers from the Device Manager) and click Appl y:
Trace port: Select the COM port number assigned to PANTECH UM175 Diagnostic Port
Modem port: Select the COM port number assigned to PANTECH UM175

Connect the device to your computers USB port. Windows will detect the new hardware 1.

APPLICATION TESTER
These dial-up networking setup guidelines apply to any commercial terminal, i.e. a terminal not
provided by Anite Finland Ltd, that is used for application testing.
First you need to install the connectivity cable driver. The USB connectivity cable driver and an 1.
applicable USB connectivity cable for it will be included in your mobile phone package. Note! Do
not connect the USB connectivity cable to your PC until the driver installation is complete!
Consult the terminal user manual for instructions on how to install the connectivity cable driver.
After installing the connectivity cable driver, go to Start | Settings | Control Panel | Phone and 2.
Modem Options | Modems and check the Modem port number assigned to the terminal. This port
number will be the same as the Modem port in Nemo Outdoor.
Next you need to create a dial-up connection to the Internet for the modem port mentioned above. 3.
A dial-up networking installation is required before data transfers can be made. Go to Start |
Settings | Control Panel | Network Connections. Check to see if the dial-up connection for your
phone was automatically installed with the USB connectivity driver installation. If not, create a new
dial-up connection from File | New Connection. The dial-up connection you find in the Network
Connections window is the same as the Packet switched dial-up connection in Nemo Outdoor.
When the USB connectivity driver and dial-up networking installations are complete, go to Nemo 4.
Outdoor and select Measurement | Add New Device | Phone | Application Tester. In the Device
Configuration dialog select the applicable modem port. The Trace port field is grayed out. In the
Packet switched dial-up connection field, select the dial-up connection created earlier. Click
Appl y. If the status field does not say Device is working properly, check to see that you have
selected the right port number and try again.
You can also check the earlier chapters in this document for possible similarities to the installation 5.
