PRESS RELEASE
In view of the prevailing flood situation in and around Guwahati and as requested by the
Government, the Commission in its emergent meeting held on 27.06.2014 in the evening, has decided to
postpone the examination on General Studies Paper of the c.c. (Main) Exam., 2013 scheduled to be
held on 28.06.2014. However, other examinations as scheduled will be held on the dates, time and
venue notified earlier.
The Commission has also decided to hold the examination of General Studies paper tentatively
on 27thJuly, 2014 (Sunday). The venue and time will be intimated later on.

Assamese of Guwahati and one established news paper of Upper Assam and another of Barak Valley for wide circulation.
He is also requested to instruct the concerned officer to send a copy of each News Paper publishing the Press Release to
the underslqned,
