We are all gathered here to celebrate a century of educational excellence of our

institution. This magnificent and prestigious institution has completed 100 years
today. Gurukul was founded by Shri Manubhai Vaidya an educationist and an
administrator par excellence, it was his vision that has made our institution today
the to reach such high standards. Shri Manubhai Vaidya had established the
institution 100 years ago in the year 1912 in Deolali with the founder members Shri
RatilalMehta, Shri Parhlabhai Patel, and Shri Vadilal Gandhi. After a long journey for
the institution in the year 1983, the Ghatkopar plot for Gurukul was donated and
since then Gurukul has been an integral part of lakhs of students who have studied
here and have achieved great heights.

Schools are an important part of the lifes of each and every student who studies
there, but the fact is, it is the students and the parents who make the schools what it
is. It is the teachers who provide dedicate their life towards teaching the students
with the help of the faculties; the principal and the trustees who all together see to it
that each and every student is looked after and are hence each and everyone part of
the school responsible for the success of the school.

The students are cared and thought with a focus on not only academics by a focus in
developing the moral values of the students, this has been the most important part
of the schools policy, which is reflected by the history of amazing students who have
emerged from our school. Today we all feel proud of begin a part of such a
marvelous institutions and I wish that the school progresses and reaches even
