AT&T Announces $2,500 Donation to Support Project 16:49

AT&T Contribution Helps Program in its Mission to Meet the Needs
of Homeless Teens in Rock County, including Education Support

BELOIT, Wednesday, July 9, 2014 AT&T announced today a $2,500 AT&T Innovation & Investment Award to
support Project 16:49 and its mission to empower Rock Countys homeless youth to take action to achieve their
goals.

The AT&T donation will support Project 16:49s efforts to meet the immediate needs of local homeless youth,
including safe shelter, food, physical and mental health care, education support and transportation.

We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to succeed. Thats why Project 16:49 is committed to
helping our homeless teens realize their full potential by offering assistance with housing, transportation,
education support and more, said Tammy DeGarmo, Executive Director of Project 16:49. This contribution from
AT&T will help us continue to support our local homeless youth, and it also sends them an important message
that their community cares about and believes in them.

Over the past three years, the number of homeless students in Rock County has been between 900 and 1,000,
according to Project 16:49. Many are on their own with no place to call home.

Too many of our young people deal with homelessness, and this project is critical to helping these students have
the care, support and resources they need to prosper, said State Rep. Amy Loudenbeck, a long-time champion
of Project 16:49. We are very fortunate to have strong organizations like Project 16:49 working hard to help our
homeless teens finish high school and have a solid foundation for a successful future.

Project 16:49 also works to make sure homeless teens have the services and support they need to remain in
school, graduate and become self-sufficient adults.

AT&T shares Project 16:49s commitment to helping our homeless youth have the education, support and
resources they need to be successful in life, said Scott T. VanderSanden, president of AT&T Wisconsin. We are
proud to once again provide financial support to Project 16:49 to help Rock Countys homeless teens.

Over the last two years, including todays contribution, AT&T has donated $11,000 to support Project 16:49.

The goal of Project 16:49 is to ensure Rock Countys unaccompanied homeless youth have the services and
support they need to stay in school, graduate, and transition into self-sufficient living. The organizations partners
with other community service providers and concerned citizens to provide a continuum of services for these
teens, including safe and stable shelter and other basic needs, transportation, case management and referral
services, mentoring, education and employment assistance, and independent living skills. To learn more, please
