International Women's Day

8
th
March

The women on all continents,
often divided by national boundaries and by ethnic, linguistic,
cultural, economic and political differences, come together to
celebrate their Day, they can look back to a tradition that
represents at least nine decades of struggle
for equality, justice, peace and development.

International Women's Day is the story of ordinary women as
makers of history; it is rooted in the centuries-old struggle of
women to participate in society on an equal footing with men.
Preserve your passion for life
in your own style.
That's what self-awareness
is all about.
Being a woman is a pride.
Do the best you can for yourself.
Celebrate your individuality,
your uniqueness.
Each woman should maintain her
own individuality
even as she makes the best of herself.
March forward! We are for India.
India is for Indians

In the name of this flag, I appeal
to lovers of freedom all over the world to
support this flag.
You can't shake hands with a clenched fist

I hated putting make-up, I hated standing in the
glare of lights. But I was the breadwinner of the
family, and there was hardly any choice left. The
day I went to work in Master Vinayak's film, there
was nothing to eat in the house.

-Lata Mangeshkar

No matter who says what,
you should accept it with a smile
and do your own work

-Mother Teresa

Young men and women need to evolve
their thinking so that they can adapt to
changing gender roles. Wake up every day
with a prayer that today would be better
than yesterday
-Kiran Bedi

Her quest for beauty should be about
enhancing her image.
It isn't about trying to be the woman she isn't.
It is about standing up for who she really is.
