what? Our fagship degree, the Master of Divinity

with a concentration in Urban Church Ministry prepares
nearly 40% of our students to serve in ministry. With a
unique urban emphasis, this degree covers the classic
disciplines of theological trainingGreek and Hebrew
language competency, biblical exegesis, theological
constructs, historical perspectives and ministry skills
and equips students with a solid foundation for efective
ministry in an urban seting.
WHO? Drawing students from a wide range of eth-
nicities, countries, denominations and phases of life,
the Master of Divinity with a concentration in Urban
Church Ministry is designed for those called to voca-
tional ministry in the urban context. Because the
M.Div. is a comprehensive degree, it is also a great
option for students still exploring their call or desiring
to more efectively serve in their current vocation.

cal languages, encouraging students to explore Gods

WHATS NEXT? M.Div. graduates generally pursue careers
in pastoral ministry, missions or chaplaincy; however,
our grads have also applied their M.Div. in the marketplace,
public policy, medicine, law and doctoral programs.
