Legal 2e/4uest I learned that De5al/ County needs to ha'e /etter communication 6ith sta5eholders regarding their policies concerning accepta/le use7 technology usage7 copyright and pri'acy policies0 They should /e easy to locate and identify0 They should /e 6ritten in a 6ay that is clear and specific0 They should /e the same regardless of 6hich pu/lication is 'ie6ed0 $resently that is not the case0 )LE I learned a lot from this 6or50 I had to thin5 a/out ho6 to transfer 6hat I 6anted the student to learn into a managea/le online experience0 It 6as harder to get started /ecause although I understood 6hat I 6anted I had to ma5e sure I /ro5e it do6n into chun5s that made sense to the student0 )nce I got started and through the /eginning it mo'ed more 8uic5ly0 I found myself going /ac5 and ma5ing ad9ustments as I 6ent further into the 6or50 (e6 ideas 6ould clic5 into place and I 6as a/le to fine tune the assignments0 Sylla/us I really 6anted to include specific information a/out social media and using a Learning management system0 I did a /it of research and created real places that I can use in the future 6ith my classes0 I found a L!S called Can'as that I li5ed and chose to use0 It seemed more user friendly than D.L0 I disco'ered that an online sylla/us is much more detailed than one I 6ould use in a face to face class0 I really had to anticipate e'erything /eforehand0 In a face to face class I could simply address issues as they came up7 /ut 6ith the online class I 6ouldn:t /e a/le to do that0 .0 ;o6 did this learning relate to the 5no6ledge ,what $ust you know.1 responsi/le use of digital information and technology0 %dispositions& In completing this field experience I /elie'e that I am /etter e8uipped to teach my students ho6 to protect their pri'acy and ho6 to protect my o6n0 I can /e more proacti'e in addressing ethical uses of information0 I can facilitate accepta/le use policies0 )LE %5no6ledge& I needed to 5no6 ho6 to create7 manage and support an online learning en'ironment0 %s5ills& I searched for and de'eloped tools and assignments in managea/le chun5s to facilitate learning the standard0 I 6or5ed hard to anticipate potential areas of conflict or confusion and find 6ays to sol'e those issues so that they 6ouldn:t hinder student progress0 %dispositions& I en9oyed doing this /ecause I can really use the 6or5 I ha'e done and see the results of my efforts pay off 6hen my students are engaged and learning using technology0 I ha'e also /egun to thin5 a/out 6ays I can transfer these s5ills into professional de'elopment courses for my peers0 Sylla/us %5no6ledge& I needed to 5no6 e'erything that 6as necessary for my students to complete an online course0 The standards are only the /eginning of 6hat students need to 5no6 a/out a class they also need to 5no6 policies7 procedures and 6here to get help in a 'ariety of circumstances0 I had to 5no6 6hat these 6ould /e in order to set up the information in the sylla/us0 %s5ills& In order to complete the sylla/us I needed to research learning managements systems7 as 6ell as set up social media sites for class use0 I learned ho6 to incorporate many different types of online methods of communication and e'aluation0 %dispositions& I li5ed the L!S Can'as /ecause it seemed user friendly0 I ha'e done some further research and disco'ered another L!S that also seemed 'ery appropriate for my class needs0 I am excited a/out /uilding my first online course and e'en more excited to de'elop some professional de'elopment courses0 <0 Descri/e ho6 this field experience through 2im/a sessions are all 6ays to assess 6hether standards ha'e /een met0 The use of more online course 6ill allo6 students ha'e more flexi/ility 6ith course6or50 This holds true for professional
