Thank you for your post. It was helpful in understanding the concept of chi-square test. You have
provided a great example of Chi-square test. The Pearson correlation provides more details for
numerical data only. The strength or degree of the relationship and the direction of the relationship is
tested. This test provides more raw information than the chi-square, there are, however, the Cramers
V does a better job of accounting for effect size when using chi-squared tests. Both of these tests
provide information on significance between variables but it does not indicate causation (Gravetter &
Wallneau, 2009).

Your research is very interesting. After reviewing your contingency table I was able to understand data
presented. Chi-square testing is typically used to determine if the distribution of a value or classification
is distributed at a random or if there is a relationship joining the variables (Gravetter & Wallnau, 2009).
