The Day that (all) things secret will be tested.

(Man) will have no

power, and no helper.

(The Night-Comer)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

١ ‫ق‬
ِ ‫وَا َء وَا ِر‬
1. By the Sky and the Night-Visitant (therein) --

٢ ‫ق‬
ُ ‫ك ﻡَ ا ِر‬
َ ‫َوﻡَ َأدْرَا‬
2. And what will explain to thee what the Night-Visitant is? --

٣ 
ُ ِ‫اْ ُ ا‬
3. (It is) the Star of piercing brightness --

٤ ٌ!ِ"َ# َ$ْ%َ&َ'   )

ٍ ْ*َ‫ ﻥ‬-, ُ‫إِن آ‬
4. There is no soul but has a protector over it.

٥ 2
َ ِ&ُ3  ِ‫ن ﻡ‬
ُ َ‫ِﻥ‬4ْ‫ ا‬5ِ ُ6َ%ْ&َ"
5. Now let man but think from what he is created!

٦ 2
ٍ ِ"‫دَا‬ ‫ ﻡء‬8ِ‫ ﻡ‬2
َ ِ&ُ3
6. He is created from a drop emitted --

٧ 
ِ ِ:‫َا‬5;‫ وَا‬
ِ ْ&,<‫ ا‬8
ِ ْ%َ= 8ِ‫ج ﻡ‬
ُ 5ُ ْ?َ‫ی‬
7. Proceeding from between the backbone and the ribs:

٨ ٌ‫َ ِدر‬Bَ Cِ ِDْ‫ َرﺝ‬Fَ&َ' Cُ ‫ِإﻥ‬

8. Surely (Allah) is able to bring him back (to life)!

٩ 5ُ ِ:‫َا‬5‫ ا‬Fَ&ْHُ‫ْ َم ﺕ‬Kَ‫ی‬

9. The Day that (all) things secret will be tested.

ٍ١٠ 5ِ‫ ٍة َوَ ﻥَﺹ‬K ُ 8ِ‫ ﻡ‬Cُ َ َ َ"

10. (Man) will have no power, and no helper.
 ١١ Pِ ْ‫ﺝ‬5 ‫ت ا‬
ِ ‫وَا َء ذَا‬
11. By the Firmament which returns (in its round) --

١٢ ‫ع‬
ِ ْT<‫ت ا‬
ِ ‫ض ذَا‬
ِ ْ‫َر‬Vْ‫وَا‬
12. And by the Earth which opens out (for the gushing of springs or the sprouting of vegetation) --

١٣ ٌ-ْ<َ" ٌ‫ْل‬KَBَ Cُ ‫ِإﻥ‬

13. Behold this is the Word that distinguishes (Good from Evil):

١٤ ‫ْ ِل‬Xَ$ِْ= Kَ ُ‫َوﻡَ ه‬

14. It is not a thing for amusement.

١٥ ‫ًا‬Tْ%َ‫ن آ‬
َ ‫ُو‬T%ِ[َ‫ُْ ی‬$‫ِإﻥ‬
15. As for them, they are but plotting a scheme,

١٦ ‫ًا‬Tْ%َ‫ آ‬Tُ %ِ‫َوَأآ‬

16. And I am planning a scheme,

١٧ ‫ًا‬Tْ‫ُْ ُر َوی‬$ْ&ِ$ْ‫ َأﻡ‬8

َ ‫ِی‬5ِ"َ[ْ‫ ا‬-ِ \$َ َ"
17. Therefore grant a delay to the unbelievers:
Give respite to them gently (for a while).
