Woe to every (kind of) scandalmonger and backbiter,

(The Slanderer)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

١ ‫َوْٌ  ُ  هَُ َ ٍة َ َ ٍة‬

1. Woe to every (kind of) scandalmonger and backbiter,

٢ "ُ ‫ا ِي ََ َ ﻡًَ َوَ  َد‬

2. Who pileth up wealth and layeth it by,

٣ "ُ َ َ$ْ%‫ن ﻡََ ُ' َأ‬

 ‫) َأ‬
ُ َ*ْ+َ
3. Thinking that his wealth would make him last for ever!

٤ -ِ ََ.ُ+ْ‫ ا‬/ِ0 ‫ن‬

 َ َ12ُ3َ $َ‫آ‬
4. By no means! He will be sure to be thrown into that which breaks to pieces.

٥ -ُ ََ.ُ+ْ‫ك ﻡَ ا‬

َ ‫َوﻡَ َأدْرَا‬
5. And what will explain to thee That which Breaks to Pieces?

٦ ‫َ َ ُة‬9:ُْ‫ ِ' ا‬$‫ﻥَ ُر ا‬

6. (It is) the Fire of (the Wrath of) Allah kindled (to a blaze),

٧ ‫ْ=ِ َ ِة‬0َ>ْ‫َ? ا‬$َ ُ ِ$.َ@ /ِA‫ا‬

7. The which doth mount (Right) to the Hearts:

٨ ٌ‫َ َة‬CْD‫ ﻡ‬EِFْ3َ$َ َF‫ِإﻥ‬

8. It shall be made into a vault over them,

٩ ‫ ََ ٍ ﻡَ  َد ٍة‬/ِ0

9. In columns outstretched.
