This format also can help a teacher candidate better understand and design meaningful daily lessons that can positively enhance his or her instructional practice and students learning. Following our whole group discussion, the students will play a game called 0ha"e-A-(ord. * will have mason !ars with a word family on the outside 1one word family for each !ar2. -n the inside of the !ars will be random letters. The students will grab a letter from the !ar and decide what word that letter and word family creates3 This will be done in pairs. 4ach student will write the word family that is on the !ar on the top of their sheet and then what word they created. The students will get a chance to get each word family !ar at least once. -nce the students are 5nished playing the game we will come bac" together as whole group and discuss the words they created. (e will decide if they are real words or fa"e words and write them on the board. To wrap up the lesson we will discuss word families.
