Daley library is well divided into sections, computers and printer, Iesoulces, book shelves which are alphabetized into sections. The library also has available conference rooms if you need to study in a group or do a project' I believe that if the librarian Annette had not given us a brief explanation on how to locate books it would have been challenging to search for the books. Annette made it easier for me to look up the location of the books. ,a& :9 The iibrary did have a designared section for Early childhood Education books. Sw)t'Xt For Richard J. Daley library being an average size library it r,vas highly utilized during my visit. I was also able to check out books that will heip me for an upcoming assignment, learned how to search for articles and other resources that will be helpful in the future' We also learned how to have access to the books in the library' As a current or future teacher I would rate the selections of books available fbr teacher preparation and Harly Childhoocl Education books from 1 to 10 an 8' The books were in sections for example creative at1, music, social skills, math and science' There is also a selection of books that have a mixture of activities for reading, writing, math, science and social skills' It is also useful that there are books to create activities according to age for example "The Encyclopedia of Infant and Toddler Activities", which would be useful for a preschool teacher. As a current or future teacher I would probably have the book shelf in a separate area not mixed in with the other shelves. I would have a shelf for each stage for example preschool, primary grades, middle grades, upper grades 6tl' grade through 8tl' grade. It would be easier to search for books according the grades. Provide more books/references and try to have books that are accurate. I would also have a couple of take-out activities one for each grade in case of an emergency, a teacher might not have time to look up an activity they can easily take-out the example and it will be easier to set up the materiais.
