Hybrid Vehicle model development

Engine Models
Physics based high accuracy Engine models. The models are to be build for diesel and gasoline
engine. Model will be validated over different drive cycles for engine torque, rpm, fuel rate, air
charge, manifold air pressure, exhaust heat loss, engine cooling etc.
Apart from the above, it will be of great help if facilities are provided to show effect of VVTs,
turbocharger, supercharger, variable compression etc. on engine performance.
Transmission Models
Mathematical models for various transmission genres Manual, AMT, DCT, simple and
compound planetary gear box, CVTs
Hydraulic circuits for torque converters
Dynamic models to predict jerks and power losses in case of gear shifts
Modeling of major transmission losses such as churning, winding, sliding and rolling losses
Vehicle Dynamics
Models with fidelity to predict longitudinal and lateral vehicle dynamics, Vehicle stability and
maneuverability, braking performance and brake force distribution, estimation of tire forces
and slippage.
The vehicle dynamics models can also be used to test control strategies for ABS, EBD and ESP.
Cabin HVAC
Thermodynamic modeling of vehicle cabin - prediction of cabin heat load
Air conditioner and blower model
Motor and battery models
Data based/mathematical models for different motor technologies Induction, PMS, SRM
motors
Same for battery technologies Lead acid, Li-ion, Ni-MH
Thermal models for motor and battery
