Dear Educator,
Please allow me a few moments of your time to introduce teaching candidate, Ms. Ashley
Bowers to you. Ms. Bowers has recently completed a very successful Student Field Placement
Assignment at Central Primary School in Bedford, Ohio.
Throughout her fifteen weeks of Student Field Placement, it was evident that Ashley has the
skills to be an exceptional Classroom Instructional Leader. She demonstrated planning skills that
were usually similar to a more experienced teacher. During her time in my classroom, she would
consistently take the required curriculum and develop lessons that were innovative, well-
constructed, well taught and for students, well received.
Ashley also complimented her teaching skills with outstanding classroom management skills.
Students in my 3
rd
grade class were oriented to their behavior expectations when working with
her and she was able to earn their trust and respect. Because of this, behavior issues were kept to
a minimal.
Finally, always present, Ms. Bowers was consistently professional in her work and demeanor.
Her response to criticism was positive and she actively incorporated suggestions into her
teaching process and made them her own. She demonstrates an understanding of the importance
of interacting with parents and guardians.
I have found Ashley Bowers to be a wonderful student to supervise. She is conscientious,
professional, and serious about teaching. She has demonstrated that she clearly understands the
connections between teaching and learning, and given that, experience and continued effort can
only help her become an outstanding teacher. It is because of this, I recommend Ms. Ashley
Bowers for a teaching position. I have no doubt that her students would flourish academically
under her supervision.
