Abstract: Spa of Gamzigrad is balneological center of the long tradition.The spa is situated in East Serbia, near of
Zajear town. The thermomineral springs were used by Roman people from the emperor town Felix Romuliana,
which is situated near these springs. Considering the number of tourists and theirs nights spending , Spa of
Gamzigrad is one of the tenth spas in Serbia.

Summary
THE TOURIST DEVELOPMENT SPA OF GAMZIGRAD
Gamzigradska Banja (spa) liest on both sides of the river Crni Timok, at an altitude of 160 m in the East
Serbia. Iz is linked bx asphalt road to Zajear town, 10 km, and to Bor tovn 20 km. The spa is balneological centers
of the long tradition. Quite elose to the spa are the Roman town Felix Romuliana. Gamzigradska Banja (spa) has
one cold and for warm mineral water sptings. The water rauge in temoerature from 17oC to 42oC. The spa is
recommended for the treatment of various rheumatic complaints. Treatments carriedon the Institute for the
prevention of deseases of peripheral bloot vessels and the vibration disease. Considering the number of tourists and
theirs nights spending, spa of Gamzigrad is one of the tenth spas in Serbia. There were 2.000 tourists and in 1936.
Today there are 5000. tourists and 55.000 overnight spendings.
