Working:
Terminal A and B as shown in the above figure are the water sensing terminals. 555 timer IC is used
to trigger the output. This IC has 3 operating modes:-
1. Astable Mode
2. Monostable Mode
3. Bistable Mode
In this circuit, it operates in the monostable mode. In this mode, when the IC receives a signal, only
then it will trigger the output which in this case is our buzzer.

When A and B are put into water, the circuit becomes complete and current flows through the
transitors. This triggers the 555 timer IC and produces an output. This output turns the buzzer ON
which produces a sound.
