Viper - Different versions explained.

(1) Viper 107

This version of Viper is only to be used on Vega panel's with version 2 software installed.
To determine what version of software is installed in your panel you need to do the
following on the panel:
(A) Go to access level 2 by entering your 4-digit code.
(B) Select <Panel Test>
The software version will then be displayed on the LCD. You will see something like the
following:
P28100-206 Version 2 panel because the last 3 digits of the number start with a 2.
(2) Viper 303
This version of Viper is only to be used on Vega panel's with version 3 software installed.
The software version is determined as per point (1) above.
P28100-302 Version 3 panel because the last 3 digits of the number start with a 3.
(3) V1072301
This version of Viper is only to be used to convert old Viper107 files to Viper303 format.
So this is used if you have upgraded the panel software from version 2 to version 3. This
means that you do not have to re-write your configuration in Viper303.
Example:
To convert an old Viper107 configuration to the latest Viper303 configuration:
(A) Open the application 'V1072301'.
(B) Now open your old Viper107 configuration file.
(C) Select 'Save As' and give your new configuration a new name.
(D) Exit this program.
(E) This version is now converted and can now be used with Viper303.
These versions of Viper are required because Viper107 is not backwardly compatible with
Viper 303.
