WORD: Scripture and Obedience

To understand that the Bible is the inspired word of God, and that we should use it as the standard for our lives.
2 Tim 3:16-17 The term God-breathed or "inspired" is used to describe the divine nature of biblical text.
Why is the Bible useful?
These are the ways the Bible can be used:
Teaching (Gk: didaskalian)- instruction; shows us what is right
Rebuking (elegmon) - reprimand/stronger correction; shows us what is wrong. Related to
conviction about sin.
Correcting (epanorthsin)- helps turn the wrong into right
Training in righteousness (paideian tn en dikaiosun) - establishes a discipline and a habit.

Life and doctrine are inseparable

Why do we need to persevere in both life and doctrine?
