Course No. : ECE 10 !C"E# $ ECE 0 !CEE# Name of the Experiment: Verification of KCL OBJECTIVE: This experiment is intended to verify Kirchhoffs current law (KCL) with the help of parallel circuits and hence derive its equivalent resistance both experimentally and analytically. THEORY: KCL states that the alebraic sum of the currents enterin any node equals the sum of the currents leavin the node. APPARATUS: !ne "C #oltmeter ($ % &$$#) 'our "C (mmeter ($ % )() Three lamp boards ( **$#%+$$, ) 'our -.-T switches !ne multimeter PROCEDURE : +. Connect three lamp boards alon with their own switches in parallel across the power supply as shown in fiure+. 'i + *. Turn one lamp !/ in each lampboard and measure #0 1!0 1+0 1*0 1&. Chane the number of lamps !/ and ta2e five sets of readins. &. #erify KCL. 'ind 3eq from the lamp ratin and considerin the number of lamps !/ in each lamp board. Compare this with experimentally obtained value. TABLE # ( ( ( - + 3 + 1 & 3 + 1 * 3 + 1 + A I S 3 S 4 S 2 # - R P EPT! NO!
