Composition Assignment

Directions:
Write a melody using the knowledge that you have gained from Theory I. You can be creative with your
melody, but they must include the following:
20 measures
include double bar line at end and correct bars to separate measures
Treble clef
in 4/4 or time
in the key of C (starting and ending on C)
include one of each: slur, tie, dotted half note, and a rest
FIVE uses of dotted quarter/eighth note rhythms
Counts written in for rhythm
TEN uses of accidentals (sharps, flats, or naturals)
NOTE: Do not write in chords, only melodies please!
