computing systems. 20

2.
a. What is a Mobile Adhoc Network (MANET)? What design challenges does it pose?
b. What preconditions are required to implement table-driven routing protocols? What
is the difference between table-driven routing protocols and on-demand routing
protocols?
c. Why does Wireless Routing Protocol (WRP) maintain more than one table? Explain
the characteristics of each table.

5.
a. Explain the reason behind the design of mobile IP (MIP).
b. With the help of Figure 1 explain how a message from S will reach D using MIP-
TCP. Assume that D originally belongs to the network in which S belongs You
may redraw the figure to reflect the above assumption and any other assumptions
that you make and write down all assumptions clearly.
