GEN 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness:

(God made us in His image.)

PS 22:23 Ye that fear the LORD, praise him; all ye the seed of Jacob, glorify him; and fear him, all
ye the seed of Israel.
(To glorify Himself)

EX 20:4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in
heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.
(Don't make graven images, or any likenesses of anything, I see this as 2 separate things, graven images OR
likenesses)

EX 20:5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a
jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth
generation of them that hate me;
(or bow down to them. I see this as 2 separate things. Don't make them, don't bow down to them. My thought was if
we make them, we may cause someone else to bow down to them.)

DEUT 4:15 Take ye therefore good heed unto yourselves; for ye saw no manner of similitude on
the day that the LORD spake unto you in Horeb out of the midst of the fire:
DEUT 4:16 Lest ye corrupt yourselves, and make you a graven image, the similitude of any figure,
the likeness of male or female,
DEUT 4:17 The likeness of any beast that is on the earth, the likeness of any winged fowl that flieth
in the air,
DEUT 4:18 The likeness of any thing that creepeth on the ground, the likeness of any fish that is in
the waters beneath the earth:

GEN 31:19 And Laban went to shear his sheep: and Rachel had stolen the images that were her
father's.
GEN 31:34 Now Rachel had taken the images, and put them in the camel's furniture, and sat upon
them. And Laban searched all the tent, but found them not.
GEN 31:35 And she said to her father, Let it not displease my lord that I cannot rise up before thee;
for the custom of women is upon me. And he searched but found not the images.

DEUT 27:15 Cursed be the man that maketh any graven or molten image, an abomination unto the
LORD, the work of the hands of the craftsman, and putteth it in a secret place. And all the people
shall answer and say, Amen.

Don't Hide them in secret places.

The last verse of the 1st Epistle of John is

"Little children, keep yourself from idols. Amen".

Also, God is not always happy with our inventions

ECCLES 7:29 Lo, this only have I found, that God hath made man upright; but they have sought
out many inventions.
PS 99:8 Thou answeredst them, O LORD our God: thou wast a God that forgavest them, though
thou tookest vengeance of their inventions.
PS 106:29 Thus they provoked him to anger with their inventions: and the plague brake in upon
them.
PS 106:39 Thus were they defiled with their own works, and went a whoring with their own
inventions.
ROM 1:30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things,
disobedient to parents,

What was the camera invented to do?
Make images of things of this earth and the likeness of male and female.

When we change God's word to suit ourselves, and excuse ourselves, we end up of serving the creature, instead of
the creation.
ROM 1:25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more
than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
We are subject to vanity. Pride. The sin of satan. The thing God hates.

ROM 8:20 For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath
subjected the same in hope,
ROM 8:21 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into
the glorious liberty of the children of God.

DEUT 11:18 Therefore shall ye lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon
your hand, that they may be as frontlets between your eyes.
DEUT 11:19 And ye shall teach them your children, speaking of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when
thou walkest by the way, when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
DEUT 11:20 And thou shalt write them upon the door posts of thine house, and upon thy gates:
DEUT 11:21 That your days may be multiplied, and the days of your children, in the land which the LORD sware unto
your fathers to give them, as the days of heaven upon the earth.
DEUT 11:22 For if ye shall diligently keep all these commandments which I command you, to do them, to love the
LORD your God, to walk in all his ways, and to cleave unto him;

We put them in our house, He writes them in our heart.
Only Jesus, The Word of God, should be on the walls of our heart and home.

2COR 3:3 Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us,
written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of
the heart.
HEB 8:10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith
the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a
God, and they shall be to me a people:
JN 14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my
Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
JN 14:24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine,
but the Father's which sent me.

LUKE 14:26 If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children,
and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.

Photos are images of vanity. All our delectable things are detestable to Jesus.
The closer we get to Jesus, the more we should hate these objects.

ISAIAH 44:9 They that make a graven image are all of them vanity; and their delectable things
shall not profit; and they are their own witnesses; they see not, nor know; that they may be
ashamed.

The Canaanites had Pictures. Israel was told to destroy them.

NUM 33:51 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye are passed over Jordan
into the land of Canaan;
NUM 33:52 Then ye shall drive out all the inhabitants of the land from before you, and destroy all
their pictures, and destroy all their molten images, and quite pluck down all their high places:
When Jesus Christ comes to Judge and Destroy the earth, He will destroy our pictures.
ISAIAH 2:12 For the day of the LORD of hosts shall be upon every one that is proud and lofty, and
upon every one that is lifted up; and he shall be brought low:
2:13 And upon all the cedars of Lebanon, that are high and lifted up, and upon all the oaks of
Bashan,
2:14 And upon all the high mountains, and upon all the hills that are lifted up,
2:15 And upon every high tower, and upon every fenced wall,
2:16 And upon all the ships of Tarshish, and upon all pleasant pictures.
2:17 And the loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the haughtiness of men shall be made
low: and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day.
2:18 And the idols he shall utterly abolish.

Notice the Judgment of Jesus is already upon all "pleasant pictures"

2PET 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the
elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
2PET 3:11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness
IS 44:10 Who hath formed a god, or molten a graven image that is profitable for nothing?
IS 44:11 Behold, all his fellows shall be ashamed: and the workmen, they are of men: let them all be gathered
together, let them stand up; yet they shall fear, and they shall be ashamed together.
IS 44:12 The smith with the tongs both worketh in the coals, and fashioneth it with hammers, and worketh it with the
strength of his arms: yea, he is hungry, and his strength faileth: he drinketh no water, and is faint.

IS 44:13 The carpenter stretcheth out his rule; he marketh it out with a line; he fitteth it with planes, and he
marketh it out with the compass, and maketh it after the figure of a man, according to the beauty of a man;
that it may remain in the house.

IS 44:14 He heweth him down cedars, and taketh the cypress and the oak, which he strengtheneth for himself among
the trees of the forest: he planteth an ash, and the rain doth nourish it.
IS 44:15 Then shall it be for a man to burn: for he will take thereof, and warm himself; yea, he kindleth it, and baketh
bread; yea, he maketh a god, and worshippeth it; he maketh it a graven image, and falleth down thereto.
IS 44:16 He burneth part thereof in the fire; with part thereof he eateth flesh; he roasteth roast, and is satisfied: yea,
he warmeth himself, and saith, Aha, I am warm, I have seen the fire:
IS 44:17 And the residue thereof he maketh a god, even his graven image: he falleth down unto it, and worshippeth
it, and prayeth unto it, and saith, Deliver me; for thou art my god.
IS 44:18 They have not known nor understood: for he hath shut their eyes, that they cannot see; and their hearts,
that they cannot understand.
IS 44:19 And none considereth in his heart, neither is there knowledge nor understanding to say, I have burned part
of it in the fire; yea, also I have baked bread upon the coals thereof; I have roasted flesh, and eaten it: and shall I
make the residue thereof an abomination? shall I fall down to the stock of a tree?
IS 44:20 He feedeth on ashes: a deceived heart hath turned him aside, that he cannot deliver his soul, nor say, Is
there not a lie in my right hand?
IS 44:21 Remember these, O Jacob and Israel; for thou art my servant: I have formed thee; thou art my servant: O
Israel, thou shalt not be forgotten of me.
IS 44:22 I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, thy transgressions, and, as a cloud, thy sins: return unto me; for I have
redeemed thee.

It was impressed in my mind that when we are looking at an image of a person, it is or can be a vain thing or an
object of sentiment. If that person has died, we are to hope for them to rise eternal and with immortal bodies and
should not cherish that flesh which has perished. If that person is not with God in death, then, I feel it may be an
offense to treasure the image at all. This may seem harsh, but it what would God have us to do? I felt that deep stir in
my heart when a friend had given me a puzzle. It was of President campaign pins and buttons. All old Presidents. I
was looking at the box when I was pricked in my heart. It was impressed on me that all of them are now dead, and it
matters not what they were on this earth, but are they with the Lord? I could no longer pray for them, and I felt it was
unholy to be holding the thing.

You may say, as I did, "Delete photos?"
Let's go back to Abraham. God asked Him to sacrifice His son.
His only son, who he waited for a hundred years. God stopped Him, but He knew He would do it.
Our Heavenly Father gave us His Son.
If we are not willing to give up all for Jesus, we are not worthy of Him.

It is my human, imperfect, belief, based on my understanding, at this time, that any object we place sentiment on, is
an idol. And I cannot think of another object people place more sentiment on than an image of a person.
I fear God. And would not want to ever lead anyone wrongly. Pray on these things.

Be Blessed

2COR 10:4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to
the pulling down of strong holds;)
2COR 10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against
the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of
Christ;
2COR 10:6 And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience
is fulfilled.
2COR 10:7 Do ye look on things after the outward appearance? If any man trust to
himself that he is Christ's, let him of himself think this again, that, as he is Christ's, even
so are we Christ's.
