Interview Details Disappointed in the interview process. Cleared the phone
interview, cleared the onsite interview and was told by the HR that they were
interested and would be doing a background check/ ref check. Rejected. I am a
student with no negative records in my background. How can anyone reject after
making you wait for 2.5 weeks?
My suggestion -
Change your interview process. U will lose out on many good candidates. I have

I applied through an employee referral and interviewed at MathWorks.
Interview Details I was asked to submit a video interview online. It had five pre-
recorded questions. I was given 10 seconds to think of a response and 1 minute
to record my response. The questions were:
1) Tell me about yourself
2) What previous experience do you have related to this position
3) Give an example of a time when you handled multiple responsibilities
4) Do you require visa sponsorship
5) Are you eligible to work in the US
I was contacted after two weeks asking me to schedule a technical interview.

I applied through college or university and the process took 5 days - interviewed
at MathWorks in October 2013.
Interview Details I submitted my CV through my college Training n Placement
and got the HR call. My technical interview was scheduled 2 days from the HR
call. There were 5 topics to revise- Engineering Maths( Calculus, ODE, Linear
algebra), Control Theory, Matlab, Computer Programming and C language. The
questions asked are not much mind-boggling or anything,just pure basic and
easy.

Interview Details i had applied online got a call from hr was asked basic
questions about my resume,passport details,and then a telephonic technical
interview was scheduled after one week.most of the questions asked are already
posted in this site some extra question were from vector algebra,inline
function,calloc ,malloc functions,basic concepts of real time systems. how to plot
2 curves in the same graph with different axis.then they told they will contact if
interested within 1 week but after 2 weeks i saw that in the career link status was
updated as match not ideal now.

question was difficult to me View Answer

Interview Details applied on company website.then first round telephonic
interview hr...then another tec intrview was scheduled after a week .it consist of
control system,C ,programing aptitute mathlab and maths(1 hour).after that i was
given a date for onsite interview
first round is same tec interview...pretty easy and straight forward.they have a
question bank from which they ask all these questions.(1.5 hrs) after that
algorithm round+puzzle(1 hr)
afternoon u vl have lunch with two application support engineers who monitors
your behaviour.be ware they are not friends and will report this to hiring
manager.
afternoon you have two rounds of behavioral interview which you need to
practise well....after that negotiation for salary

There were five topics:
Control (other options were signal processing and embedded systems),
Maths (linear algebra, calculus, vector space),
Basic programming,
C language (other options were C++ or jave),
Matlab
1. what is differentiation
2. what is integration
3. what is rank of a matrix, find the rank of a given matrix
4. what is a null space of a matrix
5. what is projection of a vector on another vector
6. what does calloc return in C
7. what is the significance/ advantage of having NULL pointer in C?
8. find the inverse of a given matrix
9. find observability of a given state space system
10. what is asymptotic stability?
3rd round- 4th round: on site technical
1. what is the maximum area of the rectangle that can be drawn under the curve
y=12-x^2
2. draw the differential of a given curve
3. questions from my projects
4. What will be the output of A(3)=1 in matlab
5. How does 2nd order response look like when zeta is 1. How doed critically
damped response look like?

Interview Question For HR questions like how do you deal with criticism from
colleagues, they want to give examples from your own life. Since I didn't prepare
them beforehand, I found them difficult to think online and reply. View Answer
