What is LEGO GROUP WEAKNESS?
1. Now that LEGO lost the court battle against MEGA Brands back in 2010, on
the issue of rival competition of the somewhat same plastic brick toy, there is a
propensity for other manufactures of plastic brick shape entities to enter into
the market, resulting LEGO GROUP to having a lower-barrier of competition.
2. New threats of emergence from competitors against LEGO GROUP over
licensing agreements and loss of trademark protections.
3. Expansion of LEGO GROUP with their current product lines are yet to be
increased worldwide, due to increased competition that is now entering in this
viable toy market.
4. Formulation of strategy has become a target of concern for LEGO GROUP, in
order to maintain world dominance on LEGO GROUP products.
5. LEGO GROUP are finding other competitors lining up with other business, for
example, Kre-O product line featuring the popular Transformers characters,
thus giving them a more robust opportunity of the toy market.
6. The emergence of other companies in the building toy market is becoming more
of a competitor against LEGO GROUP, for example, Kre-O line and Hasbro with
additional product lines in the near future.
7. Continual competitors entering in the toy market and with the expiration of
LEGO GROUPs design patent are clear indicators that LEGO have lowered
barriers of competition in the market.
8. Although LEGO GROUP has been successful with their E-commerce product
lines, the advent of technological advances in internet domain, LEGO GROUP
website has to match in todays fast-paced computer technology, if they wish to
continue as a dominant for in the toy market.
