Topics of Study: Course Description:

This course introduces students to responsible nurturing and basic


applications of child development theory. Emphasis is on parents
responsibilities and the infuences they have on children while providing care
and guidance. Skills in communication, resource management, and problem
solving are reinforced in this course.

Late Work/ Makeup Policy: "f a student has an e(cused absence from
class s2he is responsible for assignments missed. The student must contact
me to arrange to make up any missed assignments. " will give the student an
allotted amount of time to make up the assignments missed. "f the student
does not make up the work in the time allotted, a failing grade will be given
for that assignment.

en0oy the class and have fun. Encouraging creativity and promoting
cooperative learning is practiced on a daily basis.
&ote taking is imperative in this class. Students are re>uired to take
notes on a daily basis. $andom note book checks will be done
periodically by the instructor.
