1- Reason for undertaking the project

Due to some accidents happened because the scarcity of information about the patient allergies against some
types of food, so Management at S-F realised the enormous potential risk involved in patient allergies against
the food they were served, and decided that something must be done to ensure that no risk to patients life
This project charter will mention the current situation as well as the basic bottom lines for project S-F
Modernization, and will track the main and the necessary information for initiating that project,

2- Objectives and constraints
To integrate centralized management system to do the following functions:
Patient Registration, Admission, and Admin
Doctors Functions
Appointments, prescriptions, procedures etc
Nursing functions
Drug administration, Allergies, special needs etc
Billing

Sticks-Ferryman has no system to speak of. There are 4 old PCs at various nursing stations, and one at reception
(which has an internet connection). They are not networked.
Some patient data is stored on these PCs, some in registers, and some in the folders at the foot of each patients
bed.
There is little or no conformity enforced on the data that is kept, or the way it is written up.
3- Directions concerning the solution
S-F management believe that the best approach for them will be an off-the-shelf package with
Customisations as required.
Sticks-Ferryman staff will handle the entry of existing data into the system.
All the staff working in every position related to the project need training in their various roles.
