Advisory Goals: This class is designed to help you academically and with post-secondary planning. Students will have the opportunity to:
Sign up and use the Career Information System (CIS) Visit a college Create an education plan and transcript review Learn study and organization skills that lead to success in high school and post secondary school Plan and complete two Career Related Learning Experiences (CRLE)

Weekly Structure: Monday: Academics Tuesday: Advisory Lessons Thursday: Consultancy Friday: Celebration/Assembly/Community Participation/attendance: This is based on good faith work in class, respectful behavior and prompt attendance. Absences that are not made up, tardies, disrespectful behavior and failure to participate will negatively affect this portion of a students grade.
Assignments: Please see attached document for specific assignments and deadlines. These assignments are based on career related learning standards required for the Oregon diploma. *The bold items on the Advisory Checklist are required for graduation and to receive a Pass.
Required Materials: Students need a pencil, planner, and paper.

Community Building 35% Participate in various advisory, small school, all school and community activities as designated by your advisory teacher.
Academic Advising 40% Create an Academic Plan in the Career Information System (C.I.S.) to reflect your current plan to meet graduation requirements and complete the preparation needed for your post-high school goals.* Complete High School 101 Activities. Plan, schedule, and organize with the use of a planner. Participate in recurring academic monitoring in partnership with your advisory teacher Complete Transcript Review, Credit Check and Forecasting * Participate in grade reviews at the end of each grade reporting period in partnership with your advisory teacher and fellow advisory members. Enter Oaks Reading, Oaks Writing, Oaks Math, Oaks Science, Readistep or any other academic testing scores completed this year into C.I.S. *
Post High School Planning 25% Create C.I.S. Career Portfolio. * Invite Parents to View Career Portfolio in C.I.S. * Complete Career Pathway Publication Activities.
