Kangnam University and Shimjeon Foundation invite the foreign students who are talented, but have difficulty
in studying due to the financial reason in order to encourage their passions for further study and to offer the
opportunities to learn and experience Korea, as well to bring up the global brains who will do much to develop
their countries and the international society.

school outside of Korea as of 'arch , %5).
)! 3pplicants who possess a grade point average (&.+.3.! above 657 from the last educational institution
attended or have earned top 57 of &.+.3. among classmates.
1! 3pplicants who have an ade-uate health, both physically and mentally.
+ersons who are pregnant and having severe illness can not apply.

shall be suspended until student passes level 1. Student shall be responsible for the tuition fee and
dormitory fee during the scholarship suspended period.

For living expenses (food expenses!, depending on the judgment of the Korean embassy of the applicantCs home
country regarding the applicantCs living circumstances and also on the applicantCs attendance at Kangnam University
2hurch of hisDher own volition, the applicant may receive minimum food expense support from Kangnam University,
Shimjeon Foundation and 2hurch.
()! 2ancellation or temporary suspension of Scholarship
/f a grantee is found engaged in any of the following activities during one$s stay in Korea, hisDher
scholarship will be suspended and then will be dis-ualified from a grantee position.
! >hen any documents of the scholarship application has been found false. < (isenrollment

%! >hen the grantee is punished by the university or involved in any form of political activity. E

)! >hen the grantee has violated the written pledge which heDshe has given to Kangnam University. E

1! >hen the grantee dishonor the name of the school with civil, criminal and social scandal. <

8! )(three! consecutive failures or )(there! warnings due to absence for no reason, long<term absence, lac=
of academic ability etc. during the period of Korea language education study < (isenrollment
;! /f the studentCs &+3 is less than %.8 on ) occasions < ,here shall be a &+3 evaluation process at the end
of every semester for scholarship students. 3 warning shall be given for one failure to achieve a
minimum &+3 of %.8. For the second failure the subse-uent semesterCs scholarship shall be reduced by

()! &rantees are re-uired to get a visa from the Korean embassies before arriving in Korea, and the affairs
related to the stay in Korea will be handled by Kangnam University.
(1! &rantees will be managed pursuant to the matters to be attended to awardees and should arrive in Korea by
the designated date. /f the grantees don$t observe it without any advance notice, the scholarship award will
be canceled.
(8! &rantees will do their best to comply with University regulations and to devote themselves to their study.
(;! &rantees should positively observe and support the administrative measures and events decided by Kangnam
University and Shimjeon Foundation.
(@! &rantees cannot get the consecutive support for the further degree course within % years after obtaining the
degree for which they applied.
(6! Fail to pass K0K+, level 1 after maximum one (! year of Korean language course, students may study in
Korea by self<financing and start scholarship benefit after passing level 1 or reapply for scholarship within
one (! year after passing Korean language exam(,.+/K level ) or K0K+, level 1! in their home countries.
(ocuments submission will be waived.
(?! For a leave of absence due to personal reasons, all financial support shall be suspended, and shall re<
commence for the remaining period when the student returns to the program. Bowever, the leave of absence
shall not exceed one (! year.
(5! /f student fails to ac-uire a degree during the period of scholarship benefit, the support shall be terminated
and the student shall bear all the financial expenses from the moment.
(! /f student fails to pass K0K+, level 1 after one (! year, 1 semesters, of Korean language course, students
may go bac= to homeland by oneCs own intention within one (! month from the end of 1

Korean language
semester. Kangnam University shall pay the one<way airplane tic=et.
(%! (rop out, leave of absence, disenrollment during Korean language course, undergraduate, graduate courseJ
airfare to homeland shall be studentCs own expense.
()! >hen student stays in Korea over one (! month of graduation or the case of above clause ?! and heDshe
cannot graduate regular course within one (! year after exceeding scholarship period, airfare to homeland
shall be studentCs own expense.
(1! Scholarship recipients shall report to the university (jinwoo.=nuGgmail.com! or Shimjeon foundation
(shimjeonGhanmail.net! through email or by phone for changes of addresses or contact numbers. 'oreover,
if the student remains in Korea after the program or graduation, the student shall immediately report any
change. Students shall be responsible for any disadvantage arising from an inability to contact or locate
