Hi Parents!

In class we have read George Washingtons Teeth by Deborah Chandra. This

is a fun tale written in verse and based on George Washingtons letters,
diaries, and other historical records in how he dealt with his recurring tooth
issues while battling the British in the Revolutionary War.

I am sending home this book and activity with your child as a fun way to
extend their reading comprehension, vocabulary, personal hygiene/health
knowledge, and relevant math problems in correlation with this book.

Please read the book George Washingtons Teeth by Deborah Chandra,
together with your child. After reading, play the fun game included in this take
home activity pack.

Instructions:
Game can be played with 2-4 players
To begin, have one player take a card from the top and read the question to
the player whose turn it is. If they answer it correctly they roll the dice and
move their game piece around the board the number of spaces that is on the
dice. If they answer incorrectly it becomes the next players turn. Continue
this, taking turns in a clockwise fashion. Whoever reaches the finish first
wins! After the game ends review any questions that your child answered
incorrectly.

After playing the game, please let me know your comments on the included
Parent Comment Sheet.

Thanks,
Mrs. Buholtz
