Spanish Class Procedures and
Expectations


1. Arrive on time, enter class quietly, respectfully and sit in
assigned seat.

2. Start Hagan Ahora in correct section of notebook.
This will be randomly checked for written answers
during class and added to participation grade at end of
quarter.
The date in should be written in Spanish at the top of each
hagan ahora assignment.

3. Students are expected to pay attention and be on task (follow
along, answer questions when asked and listen to others)
during class this will be checked and added to participation
grade.

Middle School- Due on time for full credit, when absent,
one day for each day absent permitted, not late homework
permitted without a parents note

4. On occasion No-Homework passes may be earned; three
passes will equal one homework assignment. Passes must be
signed and handed in at the same time the homework
assignment is being checked.

5. LOTE Department Project Policy:

Middle School - 1 points out of 100 for each day late,
after 5 school days the project receives a grade of 0, no
make ups

6. LOTE Department Extra Credit Policy:
No extra credit accepted the last week of any quarter
No extra credit fourth quarter unless pre-approved
Extra credit opportunities at teachers discretion




Spanish Class Rules

1. Respect each other at all times
Listen to others (students and teacher) and
remain quiet when it is their turn to speak
Work together with other students

2. Student must raise hand and quietly wait to be
called on to ask a question, give an answer or ask
to use the bathroom.

STRICTLY PROHIBITED IN ALL CLASSROOMS IN
OYSTER BAY HIGH SCHOOL*****

4. No food or drink allowed.

Consequences

All consequences for breaking rules will be fair and
may include the following:

detention with teacher
a phone call home
a referral










Spanish Class Materials



The following supplies must be brought to every class as
part of your participation grade:

Two pens/pencils

Dry Erase Marker

Folder (for Spanish Class only)

Binder (only for Spanish Class) to keep
handouts in date order to be used later for study
and review

Notebook with two sections Hagan Ahora and
Apuntes

A Spanish dictionary is not required but is
recommended
