5 Includes concluding/transition sentences between thoughts and paragraphs
5 Proper format is used in each body paragraph (discussed thoroughly in class)

Concluding paragraph

5 Restates thesis in interesting way
5 Links back to hook from introduction
5 Gives the feeling of closure


Conventions

5 Basic punctuation and grammar used correctly (1 pt for each mistake up
to 5)
5 No Dead Words are used (1 pt for each word used up to 5)
5 Uses MLA format to cite quotes - quote (Lewis 3).
Ex: Kino heard the music of the pearl, distorted and insane (117).
