Installing SAP 7.

10 on a Windows XP System
Step 1: Click Start and then Click Control Panel

Step 2: Double Click Add or Remove Programs

Step 3: Click Add New Programs on the left and wait for the list of network install applications to display.
Then click SAP GUI 7.10 English SAPGUI and then click the Add button. If this doesnt appear, contact the Technology
Help Center at x2111 and provide the technician the details and someone will get this set up for you.


Step 4: Wait for the SAP Front End Installer window to appear and click Next

Step 5: Check the small box next to SAP GUI for Windows 7.10 and click Next

Step 6: Click Next (do not change the target directory)

Step 7: Wait several minutes for the installer to finish and click the Finish button

You must install the SAP Patch 4 before using SAP version 7.1. Follow these instructions.
Step 1: Click Start and then Click Control Panel

Step 2: Double Click Add or Remove Programs

Step 3: Click Add New Programs on the left and wait for the list of network install applications to display
Then click SAP Patch 4 7.10 English SAP Patch 4 7.10 and then click the Add button. If this doesnt appear, contact
the Technology Help Center at x2111 and provide the technician the details and someone will get this set up for you.



Wait for the SAP Self-Extractor to complete

Step 4: When the SAP Front End Installer window appears click Next

Step 5: Wait several minutes for the installer to finish and click the Finish button

Final Steps - Installing the SAP INI file
Step 1: Click Start and then Click Control Panel


Step 2: Double Click Add or Remove Programs

Step 3: Click Add New Programs on the left and wait for the list of network install applications to display.
Then click EUP SAP-INI 1 English SAP_INI and then click the Add button. If this doesnt appear, contact the Technology
Help Center at x2111 and provide the technician the details and someone will get this set up for you.

This will install very quickly and you may only see a brief window flash on the screen.
You have completed the SAP 7.10 installation.
Close all your windows and you will see the following icon on your desktop:
Double Click this icon to launch SAP
- Click on the Systems Tab
- Choose Core-PRD [SSHE-PRD]
- Click the Log On button
