Daguplo Receives Certifcate of Recognition
-Outstanding Teacher-

R
ose May C. Daguplo received a plaque of
Recognition for Most Outstanding Public
Elementary School Teacher Category in the
Division of Camiguin, given on the occasion of the GABI
NG PARANGAL during the Education Week Celebration on
December 11, 2013 at Pearlmont Hotel, Lapasan,
Cagayan de Oro City. She also receive Certifcate
of Recognition as Outstanding Teacher Category in
Mambajao District on December 20, 2013 at Sto.
Nio Cold Spring, Catarman, Camiguin.
Certifcate of Recognition and a cash prize was
given to Miss Daguplo as merit for her hardwork in the feld.
The occasion was not purely an awarding
but it was the Divisionwide Christmas Party.

rs. Lailane E. Lopena, SDS-OIC read the advice or-
der and installed Mrs. Solita S. Baliong as new prin-
cipal of Agoho Elementary School last Sep-
tember 12, 2013 with the presence of Mrs. Trinidad L. Turno,
PSDS in Mambajao District, EPS-1 in Math and Science Mrs.
Emelia G. Aclan and Roselyn L. Jurial with 16 teachers of
the said school.
Mrs. Elena R. Rago, the outgoing principal turned
over the key of responsibility to Mrs. Baliong. She also gave
gratitude to the General PTA Offcers, Barangay Offcials
for the support they extended to the school, same to the
teachers whom she worked with for almost fve years. I
will miss the happy
moments especially our
bonding, togetherness as one
big family the outgoing
principal said.

speech regarding the duties
and responsibilities of administrator.
Although it was quite teary for the AES
teachers to be apart from their former principal but they
must have to accept the reality that in every fve years
school administrators will come and go.

AES Complies 100% Classroom
Structuring Standard

lassrooms in Agoho Elementary School after they
have been inspected by the team of Education
Program Supervisors (EPS) headed by Encarnacion
C. Borromeo, were found hundred percent ready last
May 31, 2013.
Elena R. Rago, principal I of the said school
conducted a pre-evaluation to see to it that the class-
rooms were prepared in welcoming the pupils for the
new school year.
AES classrooms ideally structured based on the
Regional Memorandum No. 15, s. 2013 have been giv-
en STAR EXCELLENCE as an indication of complying the
classroom structuring standard.
All teachers worked hard to comply the
requirements implemented from the region. They
went home late just to extend their time in the class-
room.
The principal challenged the teachers to work
doubly for the improvement and academic excel-
lence of the school.
Let us give the best that we can give to our
school. Teachers should double their efforts towards
the success of the school. Chan said.

School on September 16, 2013.
The contest was in district level
with the theme, Science
Technology and Innovation: The
Road to a Smarter Philippines.

The school sent 9
contestants and 6 teachers as
coaches. Clark Leo G. Sabucdalao,
a Grade VI A pupil, got frst
place in Sci - Damath water
patrol with Mrs. Evangeline M. Jael
as coach. Bernard G. Sabucdalao,
a Grade VI-A pupil, got a second
place in Sci Damath power
patrol with Mrs. Editha C.
Guibone as coach. Robert Jay A.
Jael, a Grade VI-A pupil ,got
second place in painting with Mr.
Rogel C. Cabeguin as coach.

June: Back to School

pening of classes always starts
in June.
Classes started on June
3, 2013. Pupils were all excited to
come to school with their new bags,
shoes and school supplies.
On the frst day of school,
teachers welcomed their pupils
by giving ballpens. Some teachers
gave papers and souvenir items.
After the big bang, pupils
proceeded to their respective
rooms. Before entering the
classroom, pupils looked up their
names placed in front of the door.
They made sure they belong to
such section.
Teachers checked the
attendance and gave
orientation regarding rules,
policies and school regulations.
Classes continued as usual
then everybody went home at the
end of the day.

the Girl Scout of the Philippines
Division Camp on December 13-15,
2013 at Tupsan Elementary School.
The theme for this years camp is:
Belong, Believe, Be More.
The school sent one patrol
with three Titas Mrs. Nancy I.
Salvaa, Evangeline M. Jael and
Editha C. Guibone.
The frst day was the putting
up of tent. Then opening ceremony
followed. On the evening was the
camp fre with thwie cowboy attire.

On the following day, girls
were busy doing different activities
like parlor games, swimming and
butterfy making.
The last day of activity was
the zip line ride at Benoni. Girls were
excited to have their frst zip line
experience.
The GSP camp ended
after the awarding ceremony in the
morning and girls were busy fxing
their belongings ready for home.

Matuwid. The celebration was on
August 30, 2013.
Parents, teachers, and pupils
attended the program. It started
with an invocation by the select

followed by Mrs. Anita S. Galleros,
who took the place of our principal,
Mrs. Elena R. Rago.

Our school sent 23 pupils

the said program. Together with her
the policeman, fremen, Municipal
employees, family and relatives of
the mayor.
The recipient of the slippers
were the kindergarten, grade I to III
but they included the grade IV-VI
pupils.
Before the distribution of
slippers, there were gimmick contest,
winners received twenty pesos cash
prize. Teachers, pupils and parents
were very happy to see the children
wearing their new pair of slippers.

Camiguin Council Holds
2014 BSP
Ruby Jubilee Jamboree

A
goho Elementary School BSP Juniors
participated the BSP Ruby Jubilee
Jamboree on February 5-9, 2014 at
Camiguin Sports Center, Mambajao,
Camiguin. The theme for this Jamboree is:
Education for Life.
The school sent 11 BSP Juniors and 2
Scout Masters, Dinah R. Jael and Mauren
B. Encluna. Each participant had a
registration fee of Php 500.00. Agoho
Barangay Council headed by Honorable
Silverio T. Chan, provided the said
registration of 11 scouters.
Each scout must experienced the
activities like Team Building, Adventure
Challenge, Rope Works and Water Sports
in order to have all the signatures of the
activity offcers refected in their activity
card.
During the campfre of Sub camp
Romualdo, AES Boy Scouts won 1st place
in their dance presentation entitiled
Katawan and special award as Best in
Uniform. They also garnered 2nd place in
their Grand Campfre presentation and
Jambo Fiesta Street Dancing Festival
contest.
We are grateful then with our BSP
parents who contributed their moral
and fnancial support.
AES Joins Mammoth Rally

T
he Star Scouts and Girl
Scouts of Agoho Elemen-
tary School joined the mam-
moth rally on February 22,
2014 at Mambajao Central
School.
There were 20 junior
scouts and 13 star scouts in
Agoho Elementary School
joined the rally.
The activity started with
a parade in the morning. An
opening program followed
at the schools gymnasium.
There was talent presentation
and yell contest.
D i f f e r e n t g a m e s
followed in the afternoon like
Sikya, Maria Went to Town,
Wacky Walk, Coin Tower
Building, Rice Transfer and
Spurting Balloon.
Agoho GSP got three
awards in Sikya, poster
making contest and spurting
balloon. They received a prize
of Php 150.00 aside from other
consolation prizes like packs
of biscuits.
The days activity
ended at 5:30 in the
afternoon. The Stars and Girl
Scouts went home happily.

Brigada Eskwela 2013

B
rigada Eskwela is a school maintenance project
that involves time, labor and resources voluntered
by the community.
Agoho Elementary School headed by Mrs.
Elena R. Rago, principal I, launched the said task force
for six days from May 20-25, 2013. A week before the
said project, a streamer was made and hanged by
the School Brigada Coordinator and members
in order to remind the community people about the

Ang paligsahan sa paaralang
mamamahayag ay naaayon sa dalawang
kategorya, English at Filipino. Pagsulat ng Balita,
balitang Isports, pagsulat ng Lathalain,
Pagwawasto at Pag-uulo, Radio Broadcasting,
Kartooning at pagkuha ng larawan.
Ayon kay Acero, magkakaroon ng
pagsasanay sa mga paaralang mamamahayag na
nakakuha ng una hanggang ikatlong pwesto
sa Agoho Elementary School para sa
pagpapataas at pagpapatalas ng kanilang
nalalaman.
Dagdag pa ni acero na kailangan
araw-araw may pagsasanay sa bawat
paaralan at hanggang sa bahay

The activities involved fun run, pruning,
cleaning of the school ground, concreting the school
fence, gardening, roofng the school dental trough,
repainting, repairing of grade I-A classroom,
replacing school signage, repairing water system
and culminating closing program.
The different stakeholders enjoyed the Fun Run
around the barangay. Then an opening
program followed. After an hour, pruning of trees
started, headed by the offcials and coordinator of
Purok Kauswagan. It was followed with the cutting
of grasses by one of the skilled parents and female
volunteer to clean the school ground. Some of the
stakeholders donated amount for food of the
workers and others in kind for the materials used.
On the third day, volunteers from sitio Upper
Banlas and Proper Agoho rendered their services to
clean and improve the fower garden and
Gulayan sa Paaralan. It was followed by roofng of
School Dental Trough, repainting of chairs, desk and
school building.
The remaining four sitios of barangay were as-
signed on the fourth to sixth day to repair the grade-I
A classroom, replacing of school signage and fxing
the damage faucet.
The last day was the culmination program of
Brigada Eskwela.
AES Holds Angels of
Christmas 2013

A
goho Elementary School held angels of
Christmas, December 14, 2013 at Agoho
Barangay Covered Court.
The school earned Php 43,712.60 as fund
raising from eight pairs of elementary grade pupils
from kinder up to grade six.
Clark Leo Guibone Sabucdalao was
the King, a grade four a pupil, under Dinah R.
Jael adviser and Queen Alliah Faith Balbutin Grado a
grade three B pupil, Perla A. Rosenas adviser.

Camiguin: Paraisong Isla

Camiguin!
Camiguin Isla Ka Nga Maanyag
Oh Camiguin!
Ang maikling linya ng awiting ito ay nagpapatunay na
maraming mga turista ang naakit sa pagbisita rito. At ito rin ang nagbibigay
interes sa mga dayong hindi pa naka punta rito.
Ang Camiguin ay isang maliit na isla, ngunit ito ay ka-
raniwang dinarayo ng mga turista sa ibat-ibang sulok ng mundo. Ito ay
may maraming magagandang tanawin, mga resort at mga paliguan. Isa sa
mga kadalasang bisitahan ng mga dayo ang White Island, ito ay may mga
mapuputing buhangin na kung masisikatan ng araw ay parang ginto kung
kumutitap. Hindi lang iyan, tampok rin dito ang Katibawasan Falls, Tuasan
Falls, Ardent Hot Spring, Sto. Nino Cold Spring, Bahay Bakasyonan at
paras Beach Resort.
Ang mga bagay na ito ay biyayang galing sa Diyos na ibinigay
sa mga tao upang mapanatili ang kagandahan at kalinisan. Kaya nagpatu-
pad ang mga taga Gobyerno ng camiguin ng isang Ordinansa upang ma-
panatili ang kagandahan ng paraisong ito. Nag tulong-tulong ang limang
munisipyo na bumubuo rito. Lets Minimize Plastics, sabi ng probinsya
ng Camiguin. Lets Clean and Beautify, sabi ng taga Mambajao. Lex
Clean, sabi ng Mahinog. Lets Clean and Green, sabi ng Catarman.
Lets Preserve Our Marine Species, sabi ng Sagay. Lets Plant More
Trees, sabi ng Guinsiliban. Ipinatupad nila ang mga programang ito dahil
naniniwala sila na sa pamamagitan nito, mapapanatili nito ang kalinisan at
kagandahan ng probinsya ng Camiguin.
Tayo bilang batang Camiguingnon mapapanatili natin ang
kalinisan ng ating kapaligiran. Simulan na natin ito sa pamamagitan ng
paglilinis sa ating mga kanya-kanyang bahay at paaralan, basuray itapon
sa tamang lalagyan, magtanim ng mga puno bilang pamalit sa mga walang
awa na pinutol ng mga sakim na tao. Tayoy dapat magtulungan dahil nasa
kamay natin ang kabutihan para sa ating lupang sinilangan. Mag tulun-
gan tayo dahil Nasa pagtutulungan ang tagumpay ayon kay pangulong
Aquino.

K to 12: Isulong!

May dadaluhan kayong seminar sa Cagayan De Oro City sa
Mayo 2013. Kinakailangan ang mga guro sa Makabayan, Filipi-
no, Ingles, Musika, Agham at Matematika,sabi ng mga punong
guro sa elementary at sekondarya. Para saan ang seminar?
Ang ginawang seminar noong Mayo 2013 ay tungkol sa K to 12.
Ngunit ano nga ba ang K to 12? Sinu-sino ba ang magtutulun-
gan sa ikatatagumpay nito? Bakit ito kailangan sa sistema ng
edukasyon? Anu-ano ang mga kabutihang maidudulot nito sa
mga nakapagtapos ng programang ito?
Ang K to 12 ay Basic Education Curriculum Program ng Depart-
ment of Education. Sa ikatatagumpay nito, dapat magtulungan
ang DepEd, mga magulang at mga mag- aaral. Kinakailangan
ito sa sistema ng edukasyon upang maiangat ang antas prof-
syensi nga mga mag-aaral sa elementary at sa sekondarya.De-
nisinyo rin ito upang palakasin o patibayin ang mga kahinaan
ng mga estudyante sa ibat ibang larangan ng pagka toto.
May mga kabutihang maidudulot ito sa mga estudyan-
teng nakapagtapos sa programang ito, sabi ng DepEd.
Sila ay madaling maka pasimula ng trabaho o kayay
maka pagtayo ng sariling negosyo sa edad na 18 .
Bilang isang batang mag-aaral at mamamahayag,
makatutulong rin ako upang mabigyang halaga at mai-
sulong ito sa pamamagitan ng pagsusulat sa aming pa-
hayagang pangkampus. Ang mga magagandang layunin
ng DepEd at ang mga kabutihang maidudulot nito. At sa
pamamagitan ng paghihikayat sa mga mag aaral na mag
pursige sa pag- aaral nang sa gayon ay makamit nila ang
mga kabutihang ipinanagako ng DepED.
Kaya mga kamag aral, mga magulang ,buong puso nating
tatanggapin ang progrmang ito para sa ating kapakana
.DepEd Administration at mga Staff, panindigan at pag-
butihan ninyo ang programang ito. Magtulungan tayo sa
pagsulong nito dahil may kasabihanNasa pagtutulun-
gan ang tagumpay.
Ang Pagkapanalo ko sa
DSPC 2012

Inay, gusto kong manalo sa DSPC. Sana makarating ako
sa RSPC dahil matagal ko na iyong pinapangarap, sabi ko
sa aking inay. Ok lang, para sa akin ang iyong pagsali ay
sapat na na ikaw ay panalo, sagot naman ni inay.
Araw ng ika-21 ng Oktubre, ay may paligsahan sa
Pahayagang Pangkampus. Ako ay kasali sa paligsahang
ito, ang Pagsulat ng Lathalain. Sa aming pagpasok sa silid
kung saan gagawin ang paligsahan, nanalig ako sa Diyos
ng taimtim; Diyos ko po, bigyan niyo po ako ng malinaw
na pag-iisip ng makasulat ako ng tama hinggil sa paksang
ibibigay.
Laking tuwa ko ng ang ibinigay na paksa ay tung-
kol sa Taunang Pagdiriwang ng Lanzones Festival. Agad
akong nakasulat dahil ang paksang ibinigay ay matagal ko
ng ininsayo.
Pagkatapos ng aking pagsusulat ay lumabas na
ako sa silid at agad kong ikinuwento ang tungkol sa aking
isinulat kay inay, Inay alam mo ba na ang paksang ibini-
gay sa amin ay matagal ko ng ininsayo, at nakasulat pa ako
nang maayos, nagmamadali kong sabi kay inay. At natuwa
pa siya sa dala kong mensahe.
Nang ilang oras, hindi na kami makapaghintay ni
inay, kaya umuwi nalang kami dahil narin sa masamang
panahon.
Sa ika- walong oras ng gabi, nandoon na kami sa
higaan at pa ulit-ulit kong tinanong si inay Inay, ano na
po ang resulta ng aming paligsahan? Nanalo kaya ako pa
balik-balik kong tanong sa kanya. Hindi ka pababayaan ng
Diyos, kahit hindi ka nanalo kasama mo parin siya at pa-
laging gumagabay sa iyo, sagot naman ni inay. Nang pa-
higa na nga kami biglang tumunog ang cellphone in inay, at
minadali kong kunin ito Aba si coach pala, ano kaya ang
mensahe niya? tanong ko sa aking sarili. Congrats Cherry
ikaw ang nakakuha ng unang gantimpala, sabi ni coach.
Dahil sa tuwa napatalon ako at patakbong sinabi kay inay
ang napakagandang mensahe.
Hanggang ngayon hindi ko parin malimut-limutan
ang pangyayaring iyon dahil iyon ang una kong pagkapa-
nalo sa DSPC. Nagpapasalamat ako sa Diyos dahil dininig
niya ang aking panalangin. Totoo nga pala ang kasabihan
na Pag may tiyaga, may nilaga.
