In A Midsummer Nights Dream, William Shakespeare portrays a variety of couples whose love turns tragic and then
returns to love, illustrating how easily love can transform ones judgement of others.
Arguably, the most prominent writer in English literature, William Shakespeare uses a variety of dramatic
techniques, such as a play-within-a-play, humour and mythological allusions in A Midsummer Nights Dream to
demonstrate how love has the power to alter ones perception others.
