I am Ronak Patel a 3rd year mechanical engineering student from Nirma University

and a pit crew member for ABU Robocon 2014 Team India.
I leaded designing and fabrication of the manual robot for the national and inte
rnational competition.
We have a well defined process for work flow that we follow throughout the year.
As soon as the theme of Robocon is released time is given to all team members to
prepare their own strategy.
Every team member is given a chance to present their views in the brainstorming
session.
After that final strategy for doing all tasks is discussed with mentors.
At first we develop conceptual design of the robots that does all tasks individu
ally.
Then mechanisms for doing these tasks are tested on prototypes.
Design and simulation of the final robots and their circuits is done in CAD soft
ware.
Once the 3D model of robots is ready fabrication of the final robot takes place
which is well equipped with electronics and sensors.
