Andys main challenge is overcoming the fact that he was driving when the accident occurred
and the guilt that comes with that knowledge. He is constantly struggling with the fact that
Robby was killed and potentially him plus two others could have been killed. He is not coping
well at all. His grades are lowering, he is becoming distant to his friends, and basketball, which
used to be important to him, has lost priority. Even though he has been seeing a counselor and
everyone in his life has been really supportive, he is sinking deeper and deeper in despair. He
is also challenged by the fact that others around him are moving on and are getting frustrated
with him since he cant do that. He then starts to bottle up his feelings, and waits until it is
almost too late to reach out to someone and confess the emotional trouble he is in. Without
giving away the ending, these challenges are difficult for Andy to overcome.
