Voki
1 and 8 Vokis were used in lessons 1 and 8 to appeal to the
three learning styles. Auditory learners were able to
listen to the task as verbal instructions from Bella
helping them to gain a better understanding of the task.
Kinaesthetic learners were able to physically watch
Bella as if she was talking in front of the class, allowing
them to be more engaged in what was being said. Visual
learners had the opportunity to watch the video and
visualise what Bella was saying. Vokis were used to
produce the creative character of Bella and really
immerse children in the problem solving journey. Using
Vokis assists in engaging the students in learning and
creating a positive view towards the task ahead.

Slideshare
1 Slideshare was used in lesson one to provide digital
images to support learning. Slideshare assists in creating
a visually engaging lesson and supporting children to
make connections with the global world (Third world
countries). Images are effective in evoking more
emotions, feelings and allowing learners to be immersed
in real life issues.

Tagxedo
1 A Tagxedo was used in the learning sequence as it is a
creative way to put together words about a topic in a
visually stimulating way. This Tagxedo can also be used
as a visual word wall of significant words to do with the
topic being investigated that students can refer back to
throughout the unit.

Bubble Us
2 Bubble Us was integrated as a brainstorming tool as it is
an effective tool for students to put all their ideas
forward as a class. Bubble Us is used on the interactive
whiteboard and students would be able to click a new
bubble and add their ideas, thus creating a collated
document of all initial ideas. Bubble Us is easy to use
and can saved and referred back to later to add and
compare ideas. The ability to colour code and the space
for many bubbles, is effective in grouping ideas for
visual learners and allowing all students to put forward
ideas.

Digital Videos
2 and 4 Digital videos were used throughout this learning
sequence as human beings have a strong reliance on
sight and sound for day to day activities, communication
and learning. Thus incorporating sight and sound into
their learning will create more engagement. Digital
videos were incorporated as children are able to see and
interact with a range of information and visuals
to clarify, consolidate and question thinking. Video's
create an alternate learning method, that is engaging,
interactive, fun, creative and a constructive learning
method.

Powerpoint
2 PowerPoint is an important tool for students to become
familiar with as they will interact with it more in upper
primary and secondary education. A PowerPoint with
images provides support through visual illustrations and
representations for children with a visual learning style
and also the hearing impaired student and the ESL
learner within this cohort. PowerPoints are an
interesting and different way to share particular
information and engage children in a visually
stimulating lesson.

Digital
Camera
4,5,6 and 7 Digital Cameras are an easy to use device that both the
educator and children can use to photograph a range of
activities throughout the lessons, including testing,
materials, before and afters and student learning. Digital
cameras were chosen as they are simple and easy for
younger children to use on a daily basis. These pictures
can be used as an excellent referent point for children
and also are essential for feedback to parents and other
stakeholders. Photographs are a simple and easy way to
show parents what learning the students have been
doing and allow them to be a part of their achievements.

Easi Speak
Microphones
6 Easi Speak Microphones were used in this lesson
sequence to record verbal observations, conclusions and
anecdotes from the children. Easi Speak microphones
were used as they support learners that have difficulty
writing strings of sentences and putting thoughts to
paper. Easi-speak recordings also were used as the
recordings can be sent to parents and carers as
progressive learning. These recordings also show
evidence of the students transformational learning and
their changes in thoughts and ideas over the course of
the unit. Easi Speak microphones are simple and easy to
use and the children are capable of using these on their
own (monitored).

Moviemaker 8 Moviemaker is used in the final lesson to bring together
the childrens learning journeys. Modelling the use of
moviemaker provides an example of how to create a
simple movie/story about a particular idea for the
students. This ICT resource shows children their
transformation in thinking over the course of the unit.
Movie maker can also immerse families, peers and other
educators into the learning journey, show others the
transformational and creative learning that has occurred
and how the children have solved the problem.
Moviemaker is a simple, easy and effective tool to use
within the classroom.
