Bangladesh
Geography
Bangladesh is located in South Asia.
It is on the Northern littoral of the Bay of Bengal.
Between Burma and India.
Architecture
Most of the buildings are mosques.
The architecture of Bangladesh has a
remarkable impact on the lifestyle, tradition and
cultural life of the people of Bangladesh
. Bangladesh has many architectural monuments
dating back thousands of years.
Culture
Official language: Bangal also known as Bangali.
A hierarchical society.
Most people are Muslims but they believe in
Shamanism and the powers of the Fakirs.
The Islamic festivals are mostly celebrated in
Bangladesh.

Society
Islam is the main religion of Bangladesh.

90.4% of the population is Muslim.

The rest 8.2% is Hindus and Buddhists.

The people are very conservative.

Mostly practicing Muslims.

Economy
Bangladesh is a poor, overpopulated, and
inefficiently-governed country.
Most of its GDP comes from the service sector.
Since rice is their most important product, 45% of
Bangladeshis are employed in the agriculture
sector.
Administration
Bangladesh is divided into six administrative
divions and each one of them has a district.
The country is divided into six administrative
divisions: Dhaka
Chittagong
Rajshahi
Khulna
Barisal
Sylhet
Each of which consists of several zilas (districts -
a total of 64 districts in the whole country).
Trade and Commerce
In 2012, Bangladesh was the EU's 35th largest
trading partner in goods. EU imports from
Bangladesh are dominated by clothing,
accounting for around 90% of the EU's total
imports from Bangladesh. EU exports to
Bangladesh are dominated by machinery and
transport equipment.
