The reference to tummo here is that it is similar to the level one meditation in his school, except his

technique relies more on suspended metabolic animation, laser like one pointed concentration and
focus, and a profoundly deep state of trance.
Each level can take thousands of hours, depending on your talent at staying in the correct state during
meditation.
You don't get to a level like his before 20 (of 72).
It is known as inner fire meditation and is very similar to John Chang's sect (mo pai) level 1 (of
72) meditation, minus the requirement for deep trance and suspended metabolic animation.
They were astonished to find that these monks could lower their metabolism by 64 percent. "It was an
astounding, breathtaking [no pun intended] result," Benson exclaims.
To put that decrease in perspective, metabolism, or oxygen consumption, drops only 10-15 percent in
sleep and about 17 percent during simple meditation.
Emission of extremely strong magnetic fields from the head and whole body during oriental breathing
exercises.
It is concluded that traditional Oriental Qi Gong breathing appears to stimulate an unusually large
biomagnetic field emission.
Real neigong is done in the deepest most profound depths of meditation, not make believe with tingling
fingers and other crap
Qigong also isn't the core art I study, it is called neigong.
Qigong (as a whole) is more focused on moving exercises rather than on deep meditation
Well if you want to pursue it I'll be happy to help any way I possibly can. Learning to stay in the deep
trance state is the first step.
Jedi is a fictional religion, based on real masters like the head of the mo pai neigong school John
Chang, schools like his have been in existence for thousands of years, long before Lucas was born.
The original name for the "REAL JEDI" was Hsien or Xian.
About two finger-widths inside the skin, when it is fully filled and compressed it will actually bulge
from your skin in a manner others can see and feel.
There is no one universal practice. I study what I consider to be the most esoteric branches of taoism,
the ones that actually get real world results.
Religious Taoism is very diverse. I follow the teachings of longmen pai (dragon gate sect) and do
the meditation as instructed. I also practice mo pai (sect of mo tzu).
For me, I believe only what I have observed first hand during meditation. It's more of a science than a
faith.
They enter into a profound trance, sitting on a grounded surface, they learn to breathe once per minute
or less, their heart slows down to a level where they would be pronounced clinically dead, and in this
deep state they absorb yin and yang chi which they later fuse together as one, so that after death their
minds can remain like a normal human mind.
Tummo is the closest practice I am aware of in my extensive research in both purpose and
methodology to the first level meditation in this man's school.
Tummo is a practice very similar to the first level meditation in Chang's school in both purpose and
methodology, both store positive energy at the naval chakra.
Tummo works only with positive energy, whereas his school works with both positive and negative
energy.
Tummo or inner fire meditation, has been validated beyond any possible doubt.
Tummo is the closest form of meditation in both purpose and methodology to his school's level 1
meditation.
The aim is to store positive energy at the naval.
Tummo however stops there, and uses this energy to heat the body.
Chang's school goes on to work with negative energy as well which is absorbed by direct contact with
the earth during deep meditation.
It is the interaction between negative and positive that results in electrical discharge you see.
Negative energy, also called yin chi, is a passive energy pulling objects to it. Gravity is an example of a
force powered by yin chi.
Negative energy flows easily through metal, and it is required the meditation practitioner sit on the
ground to absorb negative energy while meditating.
Negative energy is contrasted with positive energy or yang chi, it is active radiant energy which moves
of it's own accord. Sunlight is one example.
Reincarnation
Really I am not sure what the fuck you are rambling on about.
What I am talking about isn't about being a better person, saving mother earth, or getting in touch with
our inner selves, or being spiritual, etc. Fuck that stupid newage bullshit. It has nothing to do with
reality.
I am talking about the evolution of a human, from a being of flesh, to a being of energy, from human to
demigod status.
Each level is the development and completion of some aspect of the spiritual body.
Most people die with a spirit that is like a dead husk. It is nothing like the human mind it once was, and
is a zombie like existence.
These masters undergo a metamorphosis during their lives.
Imagine that 99.999999% of all caterpillars forget to eat leaves and make a cocoon and when winter
comes they all freeze and die.
Only a small percentage of the caterpillars get the fuck with the program, put on their war paint, and eat
leaves like there is no tomorrow, build the best, most secure, and warmest cocoon they can, and
undergo metamorphosis and emerge as an entirely different creature in the spring.
The rest of the dumb fucks just freeze to death and die.
That's sort of like what we have going on in human society, we have lots of spiritual fucktards no real
serious spiritual practitioners, one in a billion becomes something more than a dead husk of a spirit at
death.
Out of 7 billion fucking people, alive today are 11 masters that have reached the next level of human
development
Splanations
Negative energy is quite odd, if a student releases a huge amount of negative energy from storage into
their body, they can absorb kinetic energy from bullets without the bullet even mushrooming.
They can also decrease their body weight to a degree to jump up a few stories from ground level, or
levitate.
They can also use a dense field of yin energy to act as a conduit for positive energy to flow out of their
bodies without direct physical contact which normally isn't possible.
The positive energy then can interact with the environment.
See this home video of his top western student passing his level 3 exam:
-
Gravity is a force, but the underlying energy powering the force (much like electricity powering an
electromagnetic) is believed by the Taoists to be something called yin chi, or negative energy.
Both positive and negative energy flow easily through metal.
Negative energy comes from physical contact with the earth, the person meditating must be grounded
while meditating to absorb it.
Negative energy is passive, pulling objects to it.
Positive energy is like sunlight, that is one example given.
It is active radiant energy, moving on it's own.
There are many frequencies and mediums it flows through.
Neither is supernatural.
-
Positive energy is also known as "yang chi" by Taoists.
It is an active radiant energy which moves of it's own accord.
It has many frequencies and mediums through which it flows.
Sunlight is given as one example. Taoists view it as the energy which animates almost all life on earth.
There is nothing supernatural or mystical about positive energy/ yang chi.
Plants absorb sunlight and convert it to chemical energy, you can power a human with sunlight which
has been converted to chemical energy stored inside a potato.
You can also burn wood and convert the chemical energy back into visible light which we see and
infrared light which we feel as warmth.
You can also burn wood to power a steam engine, which converts thermal energy to kinetic energy,
you can connect this engine to a generator to convert it to electrical energy.
You can also use photovoltaic cells to convert sunlight into electrical energy, which can be stored in a
capacitor, or converted to chemical energy in a battery, and later used to power an LED to produce
visible light.
Negative energy is passive, and pulls objects to it, it does not move on it's own.
To absorb negative energy or yin chi, the meditation practitioner must be grounded to the earth at the
perineum while in deep trance meditation breathing once per minute or less.
It flows easily through metal.
There are various examples of negative energy, electrostatic attraction, magnetic attraction, gravity,
CasimirPolder force.
Both of these energies are real and tangible and not supernatural or mystical.
-
Tummo is similar to the first level of meditation in Chang's school.
The goal is to store positive energy at the naval area.
You are correct it is not possible to heat your body enough to light paper on fire.
Positive energy is perceived as heat in the body, and can be observed with an non contact infrared
thermometer.
Positive energy cannot leave the confines of the body without direct physical contact, even then it
cannot flow easily.
Chang's school works with both positive and negative energies.
It is the interaction of both that results in an electrical discharge.
He isn't heating the paper up, he is discharging a huge amount of energy out of his body through the
paper and into the ground.
-
There is nothing supernatural anywhere in this universe. I am not arguing for the existence of anything
supernatural.
Positive energy or yang chi is an active radiant energy moving on it's own. Sunlight is just one example
of it, there are numerous frequencies and mediums through which it flows.
Negative energy is a passive energy pulling objects to it, of which gravity is but one example.
Electrostatic attraction, magnetic attraction, and CasimirPolder force are others.
Positive energy is felt as heat inside the body, but cannot easily leave it without negative energy acting
as a carrier for it.
-
I think what I study goes a little bit past autohypnotic trance, the only state a person can even feel this
energy inside their body is when they are so deep into trance they are breathing less than once per
minute.
It takes 4000 hours or more to complete just the first level of his school which is storing energy at the
naval.
-
Tummo is neat, you can control and move balls of heat inside your body for others to feel as well, and
it can be observed via a non contact infrared thermometer, also you can fight infections as you have
control over your immune system.
But really tummo doesn't go as deeply into trance as his school does, nor is it concerned with absorbing
and using negative energy from the earth as well.
-
Positive energy is bound inside the body, and is perceived as heat. It cannot leave the body easily
without some sort of medium or electrical conductor present, even then it isn't easy to force it out of the
body.
A dense field of negative energy must be present for it to flow outside of the body easily, or internally
the positive energy and negative energy must be fused together.
Negative energy can only be absorbed into the body if the person meditating is in an extremely deep
state of trance, and then only if they are physically grounded to the earth during meditation.
Chang has fused together large amounts of both, and is able to literally force it out of his body as if
urinating it out almost to achieve the results you saw in that video.
I know this sounds like newage bullshit, but as a skeptic who investigated the meditation first hand I
believe it is not.
I have conducted my own experiments during deep trance meditation and positive energy can be felt as
a tangible and physical phenomenon, as well performing experiments on subjects that were unaware
such experiments were being performed and observing direct cause and effect, stimulus and response
relationships.

The practice is a profoundly deep trance state breathing less than once per minute in a sort of in
between waking and sleeping state. Extremely deep trance. In this state you can feel energy inside your
own body moving as real as any other physical sensation. After months of meditation you will begin to
store up energy where your mind focuses it's attention, and you will feel massive earthquake level
vibrations and heat so strong it is physically painful.
The rest of what I could say would sound like gibberish to you until you have experienced a trance
state that deep yourself.
All I can say is that it is a new way of experiencing and interacting with the world around you, not in a
make believe way, but in a hands "off" manner.
-------
What is positive/negative energy?
Positive energy is also called yang chi, sunlight is one example. It is in the air you breath and the food
you eat. It is active radiant energy that animates all life. This isn't a newage wishy washy belief, just a
matter of fact.
Positive energy is radiant, it moves on it's own. There are many frequencies, and mediums though
which it flows. It can be stored as chemical energy in a battery, electrical potential in a capacitor, in
chemical energy as food, or chemical energy in wood.
Negative energy is like gravity, not moving of it's own accord but rather pulling objects to it.
It is also called yin chi, and to be honest we don't know what the fuck yin chi is.
A human body pumped full of yin chi can absorb kinetic energy like a bullet impact with no damage, it
negates impacts caused from kinetic energy, among other weird shit.
Yin chi acts as a conduit for yang chi to flow outside the body, without yin chi, yang chi can only leave
the body if it is in direct contact with another person or a electrical conductor like metal.
------
A column of ionized air must form first for the lightning to flow through, it will not flow easily through
normal unionized air.
This was just an example. I am not saying that negative energy is ionized air, only that it acts as a
conduit by which positive energy can flow freely from the practitioner.
A tummo practitioner can store large amounts of positive energy at their naval, but cannot project it out
of their body without being in direct physical contact with another person.
They can use this energy to heat their body up, though.
A practice which works with negative energy as well can create a field for positive energy to flow
through, or later they are fused together resulting in a shock that kills most who attempt it, if they live
through the fusion though after that point they are capable of experiencing negative energy whereas
before as a normal person they could experience only positive energy. They after this point can also
project it outside of their bodies, but it must be replenished via meditation.
---
When most people hear "meditation" they think of some newage dipshit chanting ohm or some other
mantra, or visualizing fluffy clouds or paying attention to their breath or whatever... that isn't what I am
talking about.
These masters enter into a profound trance in a near coma like state, breathing less than once per
minute for long periods of time, in this state they are deeply into their subconsciousness, they have
control over the autonomic nervous system and directly feel positive energy flowing through them.
They can cause it to pool in certain areas and collect and concentrate it for later use like a battery.
It is only in this deep state that it is possible to gain control over it, feel it directly and work with it.

It isn't something produced by the body, it is something absorbed into the body and later released.
This positive energy is present in the atmosphere, masters use sunlight as one example of it, but not
limited to. It is an active energy that moves on it's own. It is the energy which animates all life, not in a
newage wishy washy type way, just in a matter of fact type way.
Negative energy comes from the earth, gravity is one form of it as an example, it does not move on it's
own instead pulling objects to it. It is the energy which gives physicality to consciousness, beingness,
existence.
These masters meditate in nature, and slow down their metabolism to the point where they are
breathing less than once per minute, their core body temperature drops, and their pulse is nearly
impercetible.
They spend tens of thousands of hours in meditation and training.
They absorb these energies into their body, much like a capacitor stores a charge.
It is the interaction between these two energies which results in the fireworks everyone thinks are
bullshit, but really it's similar to a kid scuffling on the carpet in his socks and making a spark on a
doorknob.
Masters say this energy is similar to but not the same as electricity, so I can't really answer your
question as to what it is exactly.
All I know is that it is a form of energy science hasn't discovered yet, but that doesn't make it
supernatural

Mo Pai, Longmen Pai, Spring Forest Qigong

Longmen Pai is a famous school of neigong. It is second only to mo pai
I approve of long men pai, but it is 90% bullshit by weight. I also approve of spring forest qigong but it
is still mostly bullshit. I also approve of the Zheng Yi Text by Dr. J.A.J. but again it too is mostly filled
with bullshit.
Sadly as far as material available to the public that is as good as it gets.
Level 1 mo pai meditation is also shared by longmen pai.
There is also an exercise in longmen pai called ping heng gong which is remotely similar to level 2a.
(Mo pai level one is a very basic and simple meditation, longmen pai shares it yet expounds on it. Ping
heng gong in longmen pai is remotely similar to level 2a.)
'Chunyi Lin of Spring Forest Qigong' said:
Countless different Qigong and meditation exercises exist. All teach the basic idea of using
consciousness to go into the emptiness where thoughts ultimately cease or
greatly diminish and sensory connections to our bodies fade. We and everything
in our world are all from the emptiness and will go back to the emptiness. It is a state of
pure energy where we are one with the universe. Our bodies naturally direct us to the
emptiness. When we get sick, for example, the first place we go is not to the hospital, but to
bed. When we sleep, we feel relaxed and peaceful. We bring our mind and body into the
emptiness. Everybody does this automatic meditation without noticing it during sleep and
periods of deep relaxation. Most of our daily energy blockages are opened and resolved in
this way
The Magus of Java: Teachings of an Authentic Taoist Immortal (p. 52)' said:
You know how in meditation we slow down our breathing and our pulse?
Its because we move more and more into our yin consciousness.
What is actual meditation like? I asked.
There are no thoughts and there is no sense of time. If you are
thinking, you are not in meditation. If you are aware of yourself, you
are also not in meditation. You must become like a baby in the womb,
there and yet not there. Meditation is like the borderline between
sleep and waking, between consciousness and unconsciousness.
Very difficult.
Not so difficult, Kosta. You stayed in meditation for long peri-
ods when you were an embryo and a baby, and you pass through it
now each time you drift off to sleep. You just have to remember how.
Danaos, Kosta The Magus of Java (p. 82)

The practice will require hundreds if not thousands of hours of deep trance meditation (this is only for
level 1 of 72) , so deep your metabolism slows to a crawl, where you breath once per minute or less,
and your pulse becomes almost non existent. You become acquainted with another level of existence,
and consciousness, quite different and alien from normal waking awareness.
It is only in this state that a person can even work with chi, everything else like the psi ball bs, is just
silly newage garbage hippies pass around as the real deal.
No one takes this seriously because no one offers real training methods, and no one gets results because
no one knows what they are supposed to be doing to get real results.
The real practices like are taught in chang's school get ignored by a generation of adhd instant
gratification wiccan-Pok-psiball retards, and everyone uses their lack of success as examples of why
chi is BS.

I sit with a bare metal grounded wire touching my perineum during meditation, so touching something
grounded after meditation has no effect.
It is my understanding you can only hold as much yang energy as you have yin, and the yang chi
gathered in meditation will not accumulate in your body if there isn't an equal amount of yin to
compensate, and the yang will just flow right back out at the first chance.

I should mention that breathing slows to once per minute but it doesn't stop at any point nor is it held its
a deep diaphragmatic continuous breathing, 30 seconds or longer inhalation and 30 seconds or longer
exhalation. I posted links to the spring forest qigong training manual, and to a book called the tao of
meditation and contact information for one of chang's top students.

A few generations of teachers back in the main sect of neigong I study, the lineage holder slaughtered
an entire rival clan, men, women, and children, his teacher had fought with a low level neigong
practitioner who abused his abilities to rape and plunder, he took his eyes but left him alive, in hatred
he trained for decades to reach a high enough level to exact revenge.
Neigong has absolutely nothing to do with character or morality, it is a mechanical form of training
leading to amazing abilities.
It does not convey Buddhist equanimity or peace of mind, or improve your character etc, any more than
weight training does.
True neigong works with yin energy as well as yang, whereas virtually every other system of energetic
development on earth works with yang only. Our consciousness itself is made of 100% pure yang
energy, and as such we cannot experience yin energy directly until both energies have been fused
together as one inside our bodies.
Neigong focuses almost exclusively on profoundly deep states of meditation to extract, and fuse energy
together inside the body.
qigong is more like tai chi and focuses more on active movement and breathing.

From what I understand, our consciousness itself is 100% pure positive energy, yet our spirit (the
aspect that survives death) is 100% pure negative energy.
When you die, so does your consciousness, what is left behind is a dreaming subconscious shell of your
former self, memory only no concept or understanding of emotion, or volition etc.
Only if these two are developed greatly and fused as one prior to death can your mind continue as it
was in life.
Level one is filling the naval chakra with positive energy.
Level two is compacting it.
Level three is cutting the cords that hold it in place.
Level 4 is moving it to the perineum where it attaches to the negative energy center there and rises back
to it's original location, where the two are fused together as one. Many die at this point.
Each of these levels requires hundreds of hours, some take thousands depending on the practitioners
ability to reach a deep enough state of meditation.
There are 72 levels in the school, and in it's history only 2 have been able to complete it before their
physical bodies died.

"Do you practice Tummo as well?"

A similar form of meditation yes. (similar in terms of methodology and results) It creates the same
effects of massive amounts of "heat" at the naval chakra that can be felt by yourself and others, and can
fill the whole body if you don't keep it contained to the naval chakra.

Filling the lower dan tein (aka naval chakra) with yang energy (life force energy) can take as many as
4000 hours depending on the depth of trance and ability to remain focused like a laser for hours at a
time.
Most people never get anywhere close to filling it, and that is just the first level of 72.
If you can build up a sizable reservoir of yang chi at the naval chakra, if you go deeper into trance than
normal to the point you can see blindfolded and eyes closed, this will create a field of yin energy.
It is in this state that small amounts of yang energy can be forced out and interact with the environment.
Normally this requires the fusion of yin and yang energy centers, but a field of yin chi can serve as a
conduit for yang to leave your body.
edit:
The body can only hold as much yang chi as it has yin chi, yin chi can only be absorbed in meditation
if the body is physically connected to a grounded surface, or a grounded wire, synthetic materials or
insulators block the flow of chi. Meditating on an electrically insulated non grounded surface will not
allow for the accumulation of either yin or yang chi.
---
Each night before you lose consciousness and drift into sleep for a few seconds you are in the actual
trance state.
The key is to learn to remain in that state, with a foot in either door.
Like riding a bike, no one can really teach you how to do it, you just have to learn how on your own.
Abdominal breathing with deep and long breaths, mind focused at the naval, learning to relax every
part of your body, and going deeper and deeper eventually you will get there.
I have been studying a practice which lists deep trance as a requirement for it's meditation since 2006,
and it still takes me many hours to reach deep trance.
If anyone here tells you they can instantly enter into trance I'd be skeptical of such a claim.

They are only non physical in the same sense a magnetic or gravitational field is non physical. They do
have actual existence, and you can actually observe them if you provide the correct circumstances for
them to manifest.
Having said that, most of what everyone calls spirits are nothing more than their own imagination.

As you meditate while grounded automatically as you fill your LDT with yang chi, the perineum point
will gather an equal amount of yin chi, like a mirror image. If you are ungrounded this is impossible. I
could quote private emails with Jim, but I won't do that. I was told verbatim that if I meditated
ungrounded I would not develop correctly and need to repeat that time I spent meditating ungrounded
again while grounded.

No odds are you might very well die even under the supervision of a master like Chang. If you can not
maintain absolute stillness during level 4 you will die.
---
Lichtkrper
How do you think it's possible that the power raises exponentially every level after level 4?
And where is the additional chi in every level stored?
Taoism only knows the 3 tantiens to store chi and that's it.
At level 72 I would imagine the spirit itself has an energy density higher than steel, the entire spirit
itself is solid energy that could be experienced as a physical entity.
The way I envision it is that the level 72 spirit is a 100% totally complete carbon copy of the physical
body made of pure energy. Biological and not supernatural, just a different medium.
(Crowleys: Working on a material resistant to change.)
The system john taught westerners went 1 2 3 4, 4 being the level of fusion.
It was easier to explain it this way for him.
The Indonesian students go 1 2 3, 3 being fusion.
Level 2a is a qigong exercise, the actual process occurs in meditation is my understanding.
So, 2a is compressing tantien & opening the channels from tantien to the palms.
2b is making tantien mobile.
Right?

So nobody in the West knows the exact exercise for the fusion!
Lol, sounds like an invitation for suicide to attempt level 3 (fusion) then!

There are two types of chi.

Yin and Yang.
Yang comes from the atmosphere, it's an active energy, electrical in nature, bright whitish blue unless
opposed by yin at which point it will glow red. Our consciousness is 100% pure yang energy.
Yin energy is a passive field type energy, like gravity, which comes from direct electrical contact with
the earth. Our spirit is 100% pure yin energy.
During extremely deep states of trance, while grounded to the earth, yang chi is drawn in and stored at
the naval, while grounded an equal amount of yin builds at the perineum.
The LDT is filled to the brim, then compressed, then made mobile, then sent to the perineum where it
attaches to the yin storage center there and is brought back to it's original position where the two are
forced together.
That isn't instruction on HOW to do it, it's just an overview of what is happening.
There is a purpose. The spirit most people die with is a dead empty husk, a burnt out shell, a dreaming
subconscious mind, with no volition, concept or memory of emotion, just a passive observer.
The point is to become a living breathing spirit before the death of your physical body so you continue
to live past death, and prevent reincarnation in doing so.

Well, to actually gain any abilities you must first gain awareness of your own energy and how it moves
and functions inside of you. To do that, it requires getting into a deep meditation which means NO
breath regulation or visualization (these things keep your brainwaves close to the alpha and beta ranges
which obviously is not going to allow you to go deeper). Once in a trance/trance-like state (hypnagogic
might be the proper term), the mind is quiet, with absolutely NO thoughts and you'll have enough
clarity to really feel your energy working..you'll feel strong vibrations or what may be considered
"strong" at this point at least. Another marker for being in this state is the ability to "see" through your
eyelids! This is extremely common for those who actually make it to this state...
But anyways, in that state is when all the training truly begins. Get to that state first THEN put your
awareness on your LDT or Astral projection...etc..
This meditation is in SFQ btw, Chunyi Lin calls it "going into the Emptiness" I believe. It's also in
Longmen Pai but called Yin Xian Fa. It is obviously called different names in different systems but that
meditation is where it all truly begins!
--
In my experience chi cannot be worked with outside of deep trance. Mental focus though is the method
used to put yang chi in the LDT, but if not in deep trance it won't matter much.
Visualization is a hindrance, visualizing working with energy exists in your imagination only, chi is felt
not visualized. There will be absolutely no doubt you are feeling chi, it's not the same as what you feel
in a waking state of consciousness either. Chi can't be worked with outside of deep trance.

Quality and not quantity is important.

It takes me many hours just to even hit a deep state of trance for training, so there is no point even
attempting meditation if I can't dedicate the whole day to it.
...Quality and not quantity. 15 minutes here and there isn't the same, if you are not in the correct state of
consciousness and can't maintain mental focus.
Andere
So what about systems that claim to convert your material body into pure energy?
That goal is integrated as highest goal in several chinese and tibetan systems.
This seems to me like the ultimate path actually.
The rainbow body guys might have the best system, to be honest I don't know. If they teach the
methods for attaining rainbow body it isn't a public teaching though. I also haven't seen any real
evidence of it other than rumor. I want to believe, and I'd be interested in more info on their practice
but so far I've found nothing.

I've heard of no beings achieving anything other than non dual awareness via any form of Buddhist
meditation. Such individuals undergo the same change at death that virtually every other spirit on earth
does.
Mental realization or un-realization has no relation to the development of your spirit.

not TG
IME, visualizations and breathing practices can create feelings/sensations but they aren't permanent nor
do they leave any lasting results. What gave me a serious increase in power and understanding of what
energetic cultivation is all about, was learning how to use barely any effort to get into a state of
consciousness where there are absolutely no random thoughts/mental chatter but very powerful
awareness and clarity..sort of like going from sunshine to laser beams.
-edit: forgot to write that within this state of consciousness is where your true work begins as far as
internal alchemy and also realizing the effects of yin qi and yang qi and how they function within your
body.

How:

1. Place your attention on the Xia Dantien and relax the body and mind.
2. Return your attention back to the Xia Dantien, when you become aware that it is not there.
3. Repeat

Do not use intention, use attention.

Why:
You need to birth Yang Qi in the Xia Dantien to begin alchemy.
This is the root. There are many branches, but this is the root.

Mo Pai Nei Kung
Level One
For anyone interested in the training for Mo Pai Level One you've come to the right place. Below I have
summarize the most important aspects of the training. I also created a thread which uses direct quotes from
books by Jim McMillan and Kosta Danaos to summarize these important points. Read both of these threads
carefully then ask questions about anything you fully understand.
The Borderline Between Waking & Sleeping
This is is the most important of the training for level one. Without entering the borderline state before you
begin training your efforts are almost useless. The key to this state is relaxation. You must allow your body to
fall asleep while your mind stays awake and alert.
Focused Concentration
Even if you have entered the borderline state it will be useless in terms of cultivation if you don't apply
'focussed conscentraion'. This means that while you are in the deep trance state mentioned above you must
focus on the lower dan tien like a pin point lazer. This is what focuses and stores Qi in the dan tien.
Grounding
Without making sure that you are grounded at the perineum point during borderline state, focused
concentration your effort will also be wasted. This is because your access to Yin Qi has been cut off. Without
the equal flow of both Yin and Yang entering your body, you won't be able to cultivate period. Grounding is
essential. In order to make sure that you are grounded you can either sit outside on the ground or use a
grounding wire. Ask for details if you are interested in the grounding wire.
72 Hour Rule
The '72 Hour Rule' states after any type of orgasm, ejaculation, etc. you MUST take AT LEAST 72 hours of
time off training. If you train with focused concentration during the borderline state, you will tear you dan tien
and end all further training if you don't take heed to this rule.
Those are the four key aspects of the training. The next thing I advise you to do is go read the two threads
linked below.

The breathing that is used is reverse breathing. This means that on the inhalation the abdomen contracts
and on the exhalation it expands.
Very important (actually most important) is the state of mind you're in. You should aim for a very deep
state of meditation, a deep trance state, between waking and sleeping. The focus and awareness should
be pointed completely on the Dan Tian. When training you must be grounded to the earth. You can do
this by either sitting outside on the earth, or by using a grounding rod and wire, and sit on that.
Personally, I prefer sitting outside, as otherwise my mind can bring doubts and go like "Oh, is my
ground properly established? What if it isn't, then I won't be training the right way, hoe do I know if
this is a good ground" and stuff like that.
Another thing I notice is most people want to try to visualize chi, you don't visualize you feel. There is
zero doubt if you are feeling chi or not.
Something else about the state of actual meditation is it is not just about being being in
between waking and sleeping, it's also about being in between life and death.
You are breathing once per minute or less, your pulse decreases to the point even a
paramedic would declare you dead, and your core body temp drops dramatically.
If you aren't in this deep state you can't really work with chi at all.
It's what allows you to actually work with and store chi.

First thing first , No sex or masturbating and if so wait three days before resuming practice. For woman
do not practice three days before and after a period this may be hard to track due to your lack of
internal studies and balanced diet\lifestyle, the sex rule still applies and if you 19re taking birth control
do not bother with this practice your better off just being a slave to society with the rest of the sheep or
you could change your life goals but I would wait four seasons before even starting this practice after
quieting birth control, it might not seem fair for woman but you have to realize YOU CAN BARE
LIFE that is why your are different, men are simple because there are balls of muscle designed to
protect you and your your child, it 19s like comparing dirt to a tree. If you break this rule you better
hope you 19re doing everything else wrong, it can go as far as stroke, heart attack or slow\fast death at
extremes.
Now forget everything your hippy friend taught you:
1) There can be no synthetic materials between you and the earth, that means no yoga mattes or most
cushions even you 19re under ware might not be 100% cotton and even then, they are often coated with
formaldehyde. Think hard about what is under you, it makes all the difference.
2) Position is somewhat trivial, optimal is thumb to pointer finger touching/half or full lotus but it is
possible to advance even if you have no arms or legs, it all makes a small difference at first. With five
solid years of practice under your belt it will be a different story and you will know. And the man with
no legs or arms will be able to cope as well. It 19s all a matter of closing a circuit so there is a vary
little loss of energy.
3) Meditation is one of the biggest money wasting misconceptions, your are wired to meditate and you
do it all the time, some examples are day dreaming, pooping, listening to music, that lack of thinking
when you wake up, sleeping, walking, driving Etc. Pretty much you are not meditating when you are
likely talking or in a high state of action. The real trick is focus, and that is a separate ball game all to
together. Imagine getting your picture taken for instance, the camera man says 1Ccheese 1D and you
have already been meditating without knowing it, then you shift your focus from 1Cwhen is this guy
going to say (say cheese) to me 1D to smiling, witch lasts maybe three seconds before the smile starts
to look fake, that is your focus moving to some other topic related to the situation or not. You can see
the focus moving on the person face. Some cultures seen this more as ones soul 26 and maybe there
right. So you can consider meditation as a vehicle and focus is the crazy brat in the back seat. As a side
note focus can be split many ways simultaneously.
Now when ready check 1,2 and sit /meditate then focus on your Dan Tien, this is an obscure area that
you wont feel for some time, reverse breath to start packing energy into that general area, when there is
a good deal of energy packed their day to day you will feel hints of it , as you progress so shall it. You
19re going to be in the 20-300 hour of practice range to notice it, you 19re going to be in the 200-800
hour range of practice to fill it. Do it at whatever pace you feel like(10 mins a day to 24 hours a day) it
19s your art form at that point and your body. If something hurts lay off somewhat, like anything you
do. And simply put 1. is Grounding 2. is closed circuit 3. is Generating\capacitating 13 This is Level
One and it should keep you busy for 1-7 years or 200-800 hours ruffly and the result is good health,
supernatural powers for lack of a better term would be about 9-80 years off from that point so you
might want to just keep adding nonsensical thoughts to forums instead of ever doing anything with
your life, and yes that is a challenge.
P.S By the time you 19re done Level One, Level Two will be as public as this if your one of those
people that cannot be fulfilled by taxes and concrete
Is This Lvl 1?
Here instructions for Mo Pai Level 1 as me found on website . Please confirm if authentic
This picture illustrates the half lotus; one leg is pulled on top of the other. A full lotus is putting one leg on top of the other and then
pulling the other leg on top. Usually, the way we development in America isnt conducive for a full lotus, as we train the wrong muscles.
But if you can sit in a full lotus you do not need to touch your fingers, rather just place your hands on your legs in a comfortable manner.
Most of us will never attain a full lotusbut this doesnt matter in the slightest. We can have exactly the same results by sitting in a half
lotus. If using a half lotus, you must touch the first finger with your thumb while placing them upon your legs in a comfortable manner.
Do not do level 2 first. From building your newly developed chi during level 1, it can then be condensed in level 2, this is important.
Now to begin, close your eyes and think "relax". Quiet your mind by watching the lights that flash when your eyes are closed. Rub your
hands together to warm them. Use a finger or place your hand exactly on your dan tienthis tells your mind where your breath must go.
As you begin to breatheit will slow down automatically as you progress into your session. Breathe in through your nose slowly in a
rhythmical manner while imagining your breath going down to your dan tien. Dont hold your breath at any point. Then visually imagine
it coming back up and out your mouth. But do this progressively slowly. Not now, you will eventually working down to eight breaths a
minute, then seven, six, five, and ultimately two breaths in one minute. Some people eventually do one breath per minute. But this isnt
necessary, as I achieved all that was required only doing two breaths per minute for ten minutes straight. I would then return to normal
slow breathing and then go back to two breaths per minute for another ten minutes until my session was over. But this isnt necessary,
eventually just slow breathing to around four to five breaths per minute is just fine. Once you complete one cycle (breath in through the
nose and out of your lungs through your mouth), you start over and repeat it for the time youve allotted for training. Important: your
breathing must be illustrated only by your stomach expanding and contracting. There should be nothing else moving. In the beginning
make sure your shoulders dont move, as this indicates your breathing is too high and your newly cultivated chi will stay high and not
make it into your dan tien. So keep shoulders still and only move stomach to accommodate the chi in that area. It is good to have someone
observe you to make sure you are not moving your shoulders when you do your meditative breathing.
All this may take some time, but as usual, dont push your self. Just relax and enjoy the experience trusting that all is done for a specific
reason and things will happen as they should. This training is mechanical, and by doing all this you "will" attain the same desired affects
as all others have attained in Mo Pai by doing this exact same training. While concentrating during your meditation you must work on
emptying your mind of all thoughts. This is very difficult and literally takes years to developso dont be in a hurry as nothing will
happen any sooner than it is supposed to. Some people, by virtue of their physiology, psyche and innate abilities allow them to develop
sooner than others, but all who train "will" develop no matter what. Just accept how you are created and appreciate the transition into
another mindset. Helpful hint: when concentrating, focusing only on your dan tien, or your breath, or try and blank everything out your
mind; any one works for your development. All are designed for pointed "concentration." You should start out gradually; I started out
doing meditation for five minutes, then I quickly advanced to ten. This may not sound like much, but you have to remember you will be
doing this literally for years. So, to start off slowly almost guarantees your longevity. If you start too fast you will most certainly quit
early and likely never achieve your goal. Buy starting slowly to train yourself allows your mind and body to become adjustedand then
your mind and body will actually tell you that it can take more when it is ready. When this happens you must accommodate this by adding
either a minute or a few minutes at a time. Just as long as you take your time, and not be in a hurrythis way you will find it is easier to
increase your time. In Mo Pai, there is no specific time each day to meditate. However, one hour is usual for most people because most of
us work and have family responsibilities. But, if you are single you can take more time to train. Either way, you can do more if it is
possible, which may increase your development. If you have families dont take away quality time from them. This is for you as much as
it is for them. I worked up to one hour over a period of two years. When I reached one hour I started a second session for the day with
another hour. I would do one hour and stop and do some other things, then I would return and do another session of one hour. After a
while I started trying to do more than an hour at a time and occasionally did 2 hours straight. But mostly I would only do one hour each
session per day. So, I would highly recommend that you take your time so you can withstand all the issues that will come up and be able
to adjust to them. It is similar to working out with weights, you dont just start bench pressing over two-hundred poundsyouve got to
work up to it. If you tried you most likely would rip tendons, and or tear muscles and this would force you to stop.
Important: after two months of constant, daily training, your breathing mechanics must change. The normal breathing in which you
started was for getting used to your meditative training. You still benefited from the normal way of breathing, but now the Mo Pai method
of breathing must be begin. To do this you must reverse your breathing technique. Instead of expanding your stomach with your
breathing-in; now, you must "pull-in" your stomach as you breathe-in. This may sound strange and hard at first, but it can be doneit
becomes second nature. Then, you must "expand" your stomach as you "breathe-out." Your stomach is doing just the opposite from the
normal way we breathe (And remember your stomach is the only part of your body that moves). At first this will greatly impair your
ability to lengthen your breathing repetitions. However, it will improve over time; just work on it and be patient, as this is an entirely
different mode of training from ancient knowledge.
Sex: this is another issue that must be addressed. It is simple and straight forward; if you expel your semen (in any manner) you must
"STOP" for three days. If you do train during that time, you will tear your dan tienand that would "end" your training, because you
cant fill a torn container. So, you must strictly adhere to the "time-off" period before you return to Mo Pai training. This also applies if
you expel your semen during sleep. Also, if you are married, you must accommodate your wife as she needs your attention in many areas.
My teacher had seven children while he trainedso what does that tell you? Differences: You must also understand the difference
between meditation and "concentration". One can meditate upon anything or any subject in a relaxed state. Meditating causes you to think
more clearly. You can think better in meditation on many issues and make better decisionsyou allow your inner mind to move upward
into your conscience thinking. Concentration on the other hand is when you totally focus your thoughts without any distractions or
interruptions whatsoever on either nothing or a single pointit is where your mind is totally free of thought, as there is no wavering or
moving thoughts going through your mind, it is still. This is however only achieved in increments, and it also depends upon your desire to
totally focus! If thoughts arise, there is a method that helps to dissipate them: when any thought comes simply look in your mind to where
the thought originatedand it will dissolve away. Concentration and breathing (Mo Pais method) combined is actually what develops
your chi to build in your dan tien. Just meditating and regular breathing will not cause you to attain the desired effects necessary for Mo
Pais levels.
It takes much training to achieve stillness of mind, so dont think you can do it quicklyyou cant. It is estimated that in one hour of
meditation you may achieve a total of one minute of concentration (empty mind)it is that difficult. This will improve over time of
course.
In Mo Pai training you must develop 81 hours of total "concentration" to attain "certain" markers to show youve reached a specific level.
So, it doesnt matter how focused you are, it will still take a long time to attain this amount of concentrationso you need to be very
patient and understand that you "concentrate" during meditation. I will know where you stand by the signs you will eventually attain. You
need to tell me when they happen as well. I will give you a clue, it took me around fifteen months to achieve the "heat" in my dan tien.
This is the first sign that your chi development is going along perfectly. The heat will also increase in its intensity to the point you might
feel you are going to burn upyou will not, it is the chi throughout your body accumulating in your dan tien. Some people will gain this
later and some sooner, dont be discouraged, as it will come no matter what. The next feeling will most certainly come as did the fist;
everyone gets it, but the only difference is it reacts differently on everyone; it is the same thing for everyone but affects different parts of
your body. It is a wonderful confirmation of your development, as well as a surprising one; you will enjoy it!
End your meditation session with slow movements. It is best to bring your mind slowly back to reality. Once youve stopped, just sit a
moment and slowly open your eyes. Dont react to issues by jumping up quickly. Take your time. Massage your legs if they have some
pain and slowly get up. Wait for five minutes before you begin the next level.

This is level 1, from a pdf and set of pictures that are floating around the Internet. It seems fairly certain
that it is Jim Mcmillan's instructions to his students, as the pictures are of Jim.
The pdf contains the level 1 & 2 instructions, and contains pictures of the level 2 moving form, and 1
pic of the level 1 seated position....
Hmm, but where's the part about grounding to the Earth? Isn't that a crucial detail?
Jim described in that circulated pdf and his book that there are two signs for passing L1.
Shifu Lin is also making the same mistake as Jim, describing a qigong exercise as L2 (L2 as defined in
Magus of Java and defined by Jim himself as a level to condense dantian).
Just know that the instructions he mentioned above contains mistakes and are not the right lvl 2 method
from Mopai.
