Romeo and Juliet

There lived two families, the Capulets and the Montagues. They engaged
in a bitter feud. Among the Montagues was Romeo, a hot-blooded young
man with an eye for the ladies. One day, Romeo attended the feast of the
Capulets', a ostume party where he e!peted to meet his love, Rosaline,
a haughty beauty from a well-to-do family. One there, however, Romeo's
eyes felt upon "uliet, and he thought of Rosaline no more.
The vision of "uliet had been invading his every thought. #nable to sleep,
Romeo returned late that night to the "uliet's bedroom window. There, he
was surprised to $nd "uliet on the balony, professing her love for him and
wishing that he were not a %Montague%, a name behind his own. %&hat's in
a name' That whih we all a rose by any other name would smell as
sweet.% Romeo was ready to deny his name and professed his love. The
two agreed to meet at nine o-lo( the ne!t morning to be married.
)arly the ne!t morning, Romeo ame to *riar +awrene begging the friar
to marry him to "uliet. The *riar performed the eremony, praying that the
union might someday put an end to the feud between the two families. ,e
advised Romeo (ept the marriage a seret for a time.
On the way home, Romeo haned upon his friend Merutio arguing with
Tybalt, a member of the Capulet lan. That -urreling last aused Mer-uito
died. Romeo was relutant no longer. ,e drew his sword and slew Tybalt
died. Romeo reali.ed he had made a terrible mista(e. Then *riar +awrene
advised Romeo to travel to Mantua until things ool down. ,e promised to
inform "uliet.
/n the other hand, "uliet's father had deided the time for her to marry
with 0aris. "uliet onsulted *riar +awrene and made a plot to ta(e a
sleeping potion for "uliet whih would simulate death for three days. The

one last time and dran( the poison. Meanwhile, the e1ets of the sleeping
potion wear o1. "uliet wo(e up alling for Romeo. 2he found her love ne!t
to her but was lying dead, with a up of poison in his hand. 2he tried to
(iss the poison from his lips, but failed. Then "uliet put out his dagger and
plunged it into her breast. 2he died
