HOMEWORK: Published pieces of writing
multiple times throughout the year










































Student-Led Conferences will take place three
times during the year. Students lead
conferences with teachers and parents and
present their portfolios for parents to preview.
Portfolios for reading and writing will include
Participation Records that are documented daily,
including preparedness for class and compliance
with classroom rules; surveys; reading logs/
records; writing records, self-evaluations;
writing samples/projects; published writing;
rubrics; etc.


Students will be expected to bring the
following materials to class every day:
