DEVELOPMENT OF FMCG SECTOR WITH RESPECT TO OTHER SECTORS

In the past two decades FMCG industry has emerged as the most profitable industry . There are
various factors which were somehow a part of this development process. We will analyze how
rural penetration, sustainability and infrastructure development are key to the FMCG sector's
growth. Based on its ability to leverage its vast pool of resources ( human capital , natural
resources and connectedness ) India has the ability to grow outwards , upwards and
downwards. A growing middle class, shifting income curves, demographic dividend, new
customer segments and a hugely under served market led the stone for its development.
We will also see the growth in FMCG industry with respect to Literacy Rate and per capita
income rise, Introduction of new products by FMCGs during the period.
