Versatile fluid loss and gas migration control additive

D168 is a universal solution for fluid loss and gas

migration control for cementing applications.
The additive, part of the UNIFLAC* system, is a
custom-made liquid polymer. Its robust properties
make slurry design very simple, reduce waiting time
for cement to set, and produce predictable results in
the field from the surface casing to the liners. Test
results demonstrate the low sensitivity of D168 addi-
tive to small temperature or concentration variations.
It is less sensitive to cement types at all bottomhole
circulating temperatures (BHCTs) from 27 to
204 degC [80 to 400 degF].
The typical density range for a D168 application is
from 1,440 to 2,340 kg/m
3
[12 to 19.5 lbm/galUS], and it
can be used in up to 37% salt-saturated water
environments.
