Reflection on Attitude and Disposition Observation form
I believe I am proficient in all of the categories listed on the form because I have already
demonstrated these qualities as a teacher in my college classroom. My students have commented that
they find my classes funny and enjoyable and that I make them think about big issues, so I believe I have
demonstrated a balance of thoughtfulness and playfulness. I have regularly adapted my class to lower
than expected and higher than expected enrollments or attendance, to unexpected competing interests
on the part of students, and to technology failures. I have already taught students who have had
diverse cultural backgrounds, including African Americans, Native Americans, Latinos, and foreign
exchange students, and I believe I have served them well. They have appreciated the opportunities to
discuss and write about their cultures in my classes.
As a student, I have always participated in class and completed assignments on time. I value
what my instructors at Viterbo have to teach me and fully appreciate my need for further instruction in
addition to my background experience as a college instructor if I am to succeed in a secondary school
setting. I work willingly with me classmates even when they disappoint me, and I appropriately revise
my work according to peer and instructor feedback.
