LOAD DETAILS AND SIZING OF

Procedure:
Step-1: Collecting data like Load details, Rated Voltage, Full load
power factor, Load factor, Diversity factor and maximum demand
factor.
Step-2: Connected load KW is to be calculated is given by
KW= KW*Diversity Factor.
Step-3: Connected KVA is determined by using this formula
KVA=KW/Power Factor.
Step-4: Then kVAR is determined by the following formula

Step-5: Full Load current in amps is determined by
I=((KVA*1000)/(sqrt(3)*415)).
Step-6: Check whether the spare capacity is required or not.
If it is 1, then the design current will be the summation of 25% of full
load current and load current.
If it is 0, then the design current will be same as the full load current.
Step-7: Then we are choosing the appropriate breaker ratings for
the corresponding design current.
