At Voyage Academy every teacher will use this grading scale:
1 Not Met Student has not met grade level target. 2 Progressing Student is progressing toward grade level target. 3 Meets Student meets grade level target. 4 Exceeds Student exceeds grade level target.
I wanted everyone to be aware of this as I am sending home corrected assessments. Student have to go above and beyond grade level expectations to receive a 4 on their report card. Some assessments will have questions that are worth addition points or extra questions to prove the student is exceeding first grade requirements. Students will have to get above 100% to receive a 4. Students who get 85%- 100% will receive a 3. A 3 means that they meet grade level standards. 65%-79% will receive a 2 and below 64% will receive a 1. The papers that come home with smiley faces or check marks are considered practice and are not counted toward their grade. More than one assessment will be given in each area to determine their grade.
