Course Description
This course is a standards-based study of fundamental physics concepts, such as
measurement, calculation, and graphing in kinematics and dynamics, propagation
and conservation of energy and momentum, gravitation and orbital mechanics,
waves, optics, and electromagnetic phenomena. Emphasis is placed on the
utilization of mathematics, analytics, data acquisition, graphical, and
communication skills. Concepts and skills are reinforced by hands-on laboratory
eperiences and the integration of other branches of science. !pplications to
society, individuals, and the utilization of technology are included. "hysics ful#lls
one year of the high school science graduation requirement.

Classroo Procedures
Entry to Class
'tudents should be in assigned seat by second bell, take out materials
needed, and begin work on the bell ringer. 4ou will have the #rst 5
minutes to complete the bell ringer. The voice level during this time
should be a + or 6.
Tardy students will come to class quietly, sign in, and leave your pass.

have their tests con#scated and receive a zero for the test. Copying,
plagiarism, academic theft, or dishonesty in classes will be handled
accordingly. !ll students involved in dishonest practices will receive a
zero and may require a parent conference.

atomic theory and its relation to chemical behavior, chemical bonding, the mole and
stoichiometry, and equilibrium. Emphasis is placed on the utilization of
mathematics, analytics, data acquisition, graphical, and communication skills.
Concepts and skills are reinforced by hands-on laboratory eperiences and the
integration of other branches of science. !pplications to society, individuals, and
the utilization of technology are included. Chemistry ful#lls one year of the high
