Mobile Technology
Mobile Technology enhances our everyday life from easy access to taxi, fast check-in to
hotels and simplifies online dating. It also enhances national security, especially with natural
disasters. They use an app called Waze which is used to crowdsourcing, gathering information in
disastrous areas where help is most needed. It changes our view on how we see natural
disasters. It gave us real time news of the disaster occurring and allowing us to experience and
consumes the event.
The two search engines I used were Bing and Yahoo. The article I have found using
Bing is much better. It has more information than the other. The article itself is on a more
trustworthy website compared to the other.
1. It was written on September 27
th
, 2014.
2. It relates to the topic on how mobile technology is changing.
3. The author is Matt Paulson. He is qualified because they have a page about him
graduating and understanding the changing technology.
4. Yes the information is accurate and has been tested by evidence within the article.
5. The article has been written to inform the readers and is objective to the mobile
technology.
Key word I have used to search my topic on the CCBC library was mobile technology.
The database I have used was ABI/INFORM compete and ProQuest Science Journal.
In comparison the article from CCBC library has more resources than the use of the
search engine. Access to the sources is fairly different but the use in search engines is much
easier. The timeliness is very different with the scholarly journal having much more detailed
information compared to news articles. The authority is much more trustworthy as though it is a
journal used for students learning and studying.
