Education/Major:
Nassau Community College- I started my college career at this community
college where I completed two semesters. In my two semesters I was able to
walk away with some completed general education courses and a 3.6 GPA prior
to transferring.
Community College Of Baltimore County- With opportunity to work in a fast
growing RX distributor known as Healthsource Distributors, LLC; I transferred
colleges to still fulfill my goal of obtaining an MBA, while gaining experience in
the work field. Furthermore, throughout my completion of one year and my
prior year, I am able to say that at this point I have an accumulated GPA of 3.5.
Moreover, I also have this 12 credit fall 2014 semester to finish with hopes in
boosting my grade.
University of Miami- With my general education coming to a close and
nearing my Associates in Arts degree, I have recently applied for the fall 2015
semester at the University of Miami. Acceptance rate is 43%, and generally
accepts transfer students with a minimal 31 credits and a mean GPA of 3.3.
Furthermore, I feel this makes me a prime fit to pursue my education in
business at a top university such as Miami. Striving for excellence, applying for
this university shows my dedication to performance and durability to obtain a
degree.
Objective: Keep progressing and gain further knowledge in
Business.
1. Growing knowledge in Pharmaceuticals and business education
makes me able to see the big picture. As I have gone through
many growth phases, I am growing out of my Maryland shell, and
emerging into a wiser, more powerful Florida shell.
2. Amerisource Bergen and the University of Miami, are reasons for
emergence, as a Sales job awaits in FT. Lauderdale and my
acceptance to the school, inhibits my deeper education.
3. If accomplished, my new surroundings would shoot me further
into applicant pool, making me more experienced and
academically inquired to perform at a high pace, success driven
organization.
Work Experience-
- Healthsource Distributors (Current workplace) is located at 1133
Greenwood road, Pikesville, MD. I have been employed from August 2013
to the present.
- Much like others, I have had many low end jobs like delivery, service, and
valeting, in my early ages of enrolling in the workforce. However, this
taught me how to be goal driven and responsibility as growing older
inhibits you to find yourself.
- I found myself knocking on the door of opportunity at a company my
father is the Vice president of Purchasing in. My interview went well and I
became a member of Healthsource Distributors receiving department,
making a small, but sufficient amount of $12.50 an hour.
- As my awareness and intelligence grew I was promoted to a supervisor
after I proved myself worthy of leadership amongst my peers. I believe
this is because I worked with great care and composure, while never
stepping over anyone, but always searching for a chance to shine.
- One year and a half later I stand one supervisor of 5 then an operations
manager overseeing. I currently have achieved a salary pay of $45,000
yearly.
- Over seeing a new operation in November 2014, where the warehouse is
branching off into its own building due to the large amount of growth the
company has done. I will be heading my quadrant in the new wear house,
where I will end my career in this company.
- Knowledge of the industry, products, and price analysis has made me a
prime candidate to begin my next chapter as a Sales representative at
Amerisource Bergen, in spring 2015.
Achievements-
1. During my first year of college I was able to receive the highest
academic regard at Nassau Community College (Dean's List) prior to
transferring colleges. A huge achievement of mine and also serving as a
great foundation towards my goal of obtaining a Master's degree in
Business (MBA).
2. Diploma: Able to conclude my high school experience with a 3.6 GPA.
Also, I capped off my football and lacrosse careers; which taught me
discipline and how to take initiative.
3. Able to receive a salary paid job at the age of 19. Making my time to
improve wider than those that usually have to wait a degree is required.
4. I have a poem published in a book called Timeless Voices. This is a
yearly book published with great poets from around the world. My
edition is 2006 and my poem is titled My Shore side Respite due to my
age and performance, I was put on the first page, and received the
regard of having the only dedication page, due to me being the
youngest in the 2006 edition.
5. A college student that has the responsibility of paying for their own
apartment. A huge foundation for future responsibility.
Why Me?
As a reader you might think why would we choose this person to
qualify for us? As a strong believer in myself I see it choice that cannot
be made yet. Furthermore, with that being said I think I am becoming a
good rising candidate for application pools. Moreover, I am excelling
towards my degree, always progressing, and searching for new
information that is vital to my success and I will not stop until I have a
Masters degree in Business certificate to hold. I am also gaining a lot of
insight and experience into my desired field through work giving me a
leg up with my competition. Lastly, I am pre-trained to adapt to the ever
changing business environment and this key point will make me a stand
out applicant in the future. Right now, I am focusing on performance
and advancement until I am established enough to be successful. Goal
driven and a clear head and no fear of failure are stimulants for a
growing successful mind that I possess.
