Things to take note of
Southwest Asia contains the most oil-rich countries in the world.
Most ruthless terrorist groups live in this area.
Almost every country in the region are second world countries,
mainly because of their economies.
There is a lot of Ethnic and Religious conflict. (Also, water rights
create much conflict because of its desert terrain).
The U.S. does a whole lot of fighting around in these countries.
The countries in the area are Israel, Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Turkey,
Jordan, Sadia Arabia, Iraq, Iran, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman,
Yemen, United Arab Emirates, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan,
Pakistan, Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and
Kyrgyzstan.

Israel
Located on the west bank and is home to the Jewish. There is a lot
of conflict in the area because of religion. Israel is known as the holy
land to all of the Jewish, Christians, and Muslims.
The country contains no oil, but has an effient economy. Since they
do not have oil as a base, they have replaced the oil with
technology.
However, political conflict has made the countries economy
weaker. So, they dont have the strongest economy they are
capable of.
One of the most economically stable countries in the Middle East.
Saudi Arabia
Oil rich
One of the more affiant countries that is closer to command with a
hereditary king.
Most of its land is not arable which is because of deserts and only
1.5% of the land is arable.
Bordered by Yemen, Oman, United Arab Emirates,
Kuwait, Qatar, Israel, Bahrain, Jordan, Iraq, but still
has a coastline.
Iran
Iran is one of the countries that has been placed on embargos by
many countries.
Their economy is still shaky, but it has some oil to help it out some.
The economy is based off of religion and many citizen that are not
their Islamic religion would be persecuted.
They have a supreme leader, or Ayatollah, has unlimited power and
choses how much power to give to the president. The Ayatollah is
chosen by the experts and the president is chosen by the people.
So, the people have very little say in their government because they
can elect somebody, but the person that may be elected might
have very little to no power.
